Slime Gordos, also referred to as simply Gordos, are the immobile, oversized variants of the various Slime species in essential for gameplay progression in Slime Rancher 2.
Fortunately, the solution to removing Gordos in Slime Rancher 2 is simple. Beatrix must feed this creature the same food type preferred by its normal Slime variant. For example, Cotton Slimes of the Rainbow Fields love Veggies, which include Carrots, Heart Beets, Odd Onions, and Water Lettuce. Therefore, if the player encounters the Cotton Gordo on their journey, they must feed it any Veggie to satiate its hunger. When fed enough of its preferred food, the Gordo will burst, exposing the pathway it once covered.

As of October 2022, there are thirteen Slime Gordos on Rainbow Island. Since the game is still in its early development stages, it is possible that new Gordos will be introduced when new Slime types are released in Slime Rancher 2. Nevertheless, until that happens, the player can currently discover three Gordos in the Rainbow Fields, five Gordos in Starlight Strand, and five Gordos within Ember Valley. For further details on where these Slimes can be found, the player can refer to indexes with screenshots provided by Reddit TheChook's interactive map and details sourced from Trophy Tom's gameplay footage.

Phosphor Gordo |
50 Fruit or 25 Cubeberries |
- After leaving the Conservatory, follow the main path westward but go through the first archway on the left leading towards the southern cliffs. Then, head through another stone arch and turn right to find a tunnel to the Phosphor Gordo.
- Pogofruit is a plentiful resource found throughout the Rainbow Fields, as it grows in small bush-shaped trees hanging from rocks along the central trail leading to the west. If the player is looking for Cubeberries, they can search the short ridge path on the northern side of the Rainbow Fields for hanging trees with this Fruit type.
|
- A path to a Treasure Pod with the Tank Liner Upgrade.
|
Cotton Gordo |
50 Veggies or 25 Carrots |
- In the spacious meadow before the path to the Refinery Link, go south and follow a small sloping trail to the Cotton Gordo.
- Like Pogofruit, Carrots can be abundant across the Rainbow Fields. In addition, several patches of Water Lettuce can also be discovered near the western coasts of the biome.
|
- The device which activates the portal to the Starlight Strand biome.
|
Pink Gordo |
50 of Any Food Type |
- Starting from the Refinery Link tech device in Slime Rancher 2, head directly north. After reaching a long stone arch, follow the small path to the right to find an enclosed alcove with Pink Gordo.
- Pink Slimes eat everything, including Fruits, Veggies, and Meat. Therefore, the player can feed any excess food to the Pink Gordo to pop it.
|
- A geyser that propels the player to an elevated trail leading to the device that activates the portal to Ember Valley.

Honey Gordo |
50 Fruit or 25 Mint Mangoes |
- If the player follows the forest pathway south from the Starlight Strand's portal, they will eventually find the primary habitat of Honey Slimes. This pink wooded area is where the region's central Map Node can be found. After arrival, head to the large entryway leading to the coral reef section of the biome. Then, use the Jetpack to fly up the left side of the stone arch above to encounter the Honey Gordo.
- Mint Mangoes are easily accessible since they grow in the Honey Slime habitat beside the Gordo.
|
|
Hunter Gordo |
50 Meat (Any Chicken) or 25 Roostros |
- Continue heading south through the pink forest until reaching the central tree that divides the biome's two primary sections. From here, take the descending pathway to the right into the blue forest and go to the ridge age near the water. At first, the path will appear clear, but the invisible Hunter Gordo will reveal itself once the player gets close.
- Chicken Nests can be found all throughout Rainbow Island.
|
- A grotto with a Treasure Pod that unlocks the Azure Shrubs Blueprint.
|
Angler Gordo |
50 Meat or 25 Sea Hens |
- Starting from the front of Starlight Strand's central tree, follow the pink forest's path to the southeast. Then, using the Jetpack, carefully float down to the narrow path along the coastline bordering the area and continue onward until reaching a cave with the Angler Gordo.
- If the player would like to use Sea Hens Chickens in Slime Rancher, they can find multiple nests on the beaches where the northern Map Node of Starlight Strand is located. This area can be easily accessed using the Jetpack at the portal's site.
|
- A geyser shortcut to the southernmost portion of the pink forest.
|
Ringtail Gordo |
50 of Any Food Type |
- Instead of going down to the coastline path mentioned above, follow the pink forest trail, which will eventually wind to the west and lead into a ruin with the Ringtail Gordo.
- Similar to the Pink Gordo, the Ringtail can eat everything. However, keep in mind that it is only active at nighttime.
|
- A portal leading back to the Rainbow Fields.
|
Flutter Gordo |
15 Moondew Nectar |
- The player can find this Gordo at the southernmost point of Starlight Strand, where the two colored forests converge.
- Respawning only at night, Moondew Nectar is produced by violet blossoms found on trees and wall vines found across the southern region of the pink forest in Starlight Strand.
|
- A cave with a Treasure Pod that unlocks the Starlight Strand Portal.
