Warning! Spoilers for Batman #112 by DC Comics below

In DC's current Harley Quinn is vying to become the Caped Crusader's next Robin and has just come up with a plan to make it happen. Quinn just revealed that once she saves Gotham City from the threat of the Magistrate and helps find the missing piece of Poison Ivy, that Batman will have no choice but to appoint her the next Robin.

Harley Quinn has come a long way since debuting as a villain in Batman: The Animated Series. No longer is Harley the Joker's personal punching bag, and instead, as she's envisioned herself a perfect fit for the role.

In Batman #112 by James Tynion IV, Jorge Jimenez, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles, Harley Quinn has made her way to Eden with the Unsanity Collective to shelter the wanted group. Harley's love for Poison Ivy - currently known as Queen Ivy, as a part of her is missing - made the plant-loving villain agree to help. The issue returns to the grounds run by Ivy, where Ghost-Maker tells Batman that Harley has successfully convinced Ivy to let the Unsanity Collective stay but its he's skeptical they can convince Ivy to help them further. Harly doesn't have time for Ghost-Maker's pessimism, telling him to tell Batman that she's going to find the missing piece of Ivy while also saving Gotham City - and by doing so, then he'll "have to give me a Robin costume."

Harley Quinn Robin

Unfortunately, Ghost-Maker doesn't relay the conversation, and Batman doesn't overhear Harley's pitch. However, Quinn is one of the most determined characters in all DC Comics, so she'll 100% try her best to become the new Robin. Will Batman ever allow that? Probably not. But, considering it seemed like a massive stretch Harley would ever the Bat-Family before, it's impossible to count her out now.

If Harley Quinn saves Gotham City from Scarecrow and the Magistrate and helps Poison Ivy return to her usual self, she deserves a promotion. At the very least, Batman should make her an honorary Robin and give her a costume to match. But, will Harley Quinn help save Gotham before it's too late? Readers will find out more as Batman #112 is in comic book stores now.
