It turns out carbs can be quite deadly in Half-Life 2 mod.

First announced at one-year exclusive on the Epic Games Store. The long-awaited sequel to Chivalry was delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with Torn Banner Studios believing that extra time was required to release a sequel that was true to its predecessor. Since its release on June 8, Chivalry 2 has been met with positive reviews from fans and critics alike, praising its unique combat and battle mechanics.

Chivalry 2 allows players to utilize a wide range of items as weapons against their foes, with Reddit Jackattack1291 recently showing fans that the deadliest weapon of them all is actually a loaf of bread. In their video, Jackattack1291 encountered two unsuspecting enemies during their free-for-all match on the Tournament Grounds map. Despite already wielding a morning star, the medieval fighter opted for something a little less conventional for waging war - his lunch. Utilizing the fistful of cooked dough, Jackattack1291 took out one enemy player with what must have been a super-hero strength throw, with the remaining player making a few futile hits before deciding to make their retreat.

Although their enemy quickly gained distance from them, they did not give up on their attack, the determined Jackattack1291 picked up the bread off the floor and pulled off an impressive throw, the carb-loaded projectile landed squarely on the retreating player’s head, killing them instantly. While the game allows players to pick up an assortment of random items to throw at their foes, ranging from wagon wheels, tree logs, live chickens, to even an opponent’s severed head, it seems Torn Banner Studios encourages bread warfare the most, with an unlockable achievement named “Baker’s Dozen” that can be obtained after killing 13 enemies with bread.

Despite the delay, it appears as though Chivalry 2 was well worth the wait for fans of the medieval combat genre. The array of options for players to kill their opponent undoubtedly means that no match will feel the same, and the existence of the Baker’s Dozen achievement also means that players must watch out not only for an attack by steel – but also an attack by dough.
