The Last Exorcism may seem like a documentary about a horrific exorcism at first glance, but, in reality, the movie is entirely fictional. The producers of the 2010 found-footage supernatural horror film wanted the audience to believe that it was based on a true story, which is why it was shot like a documentary. As a result, the movie was a massive success at the box office as viewers rushed to the theaters to see if the narrative was true or made up. 3ge1q

Several horror movies are releasing on HBO Max in February 2021, including installments in notable franchises. The streaming service has been updating its library with a growing selection of all types of content, so it's comforting to know that the horror genre hasn't been forgotten amongst the shuffle.

The horror genre has seen an explosion of found footage films and while The Last Exorcismreceived more commercial and critical acclaim, it’s the comparable The Taking of Deborah Loganthat’s the superior picture.

We're going to take the high road, skip all the obvious "how could it be 'The Last'?" jokes and just accept the fact that The Last Exorcism Part II is on the way, while simultaneously holding out hope that Part II explains that baffling ending to The Last Exorcism.

The first DVD/Blu-ray Breakdown of 2011 features mostly low-budget movies that caused quite a stir in 2010. Most didn't make waves at the box office, but had critics and fans racking their brains for answers to a variety of questions.
