Screen Rant 2s5h6u Tracker Based on the novel by Jeffery Deaver, Tracker is an action-drama series created for CBS by Ben H. Winters. Traveling across the United States in his RV, Colter Shaw is a lone wolf with a fractured past who spends his time helping solve mysteries and police cases in every town he crosses. Many agree that Tracker season 2 couldn't live up to the high expectations set by season 1, and accordingly, Colter Shaw couldn't live up to his "skilled survivalist and tracker" name in the latter episodes. The CBS action drama centers around Justin Hartley's Colter, who, as I alluded to before, is considered an expert in his profession. Tracker season 1 certainly proved that Colter has many skills. However, over the course of season 2 (which had a bigger episode count), one couldn't help but notice that the protagonist fell short of expectations. 6v6ix

Tracker has built a successful two seasons thanks to its unique procedural format, but I welcome one confirmed character change for season 3. The series follows Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) as he travels the country tracking down missing people in exchange for the reward money offered for their return. He is aided in his unusual job by a group of allies who are not often out in the field with him, but are still a huge part of his story.

In the season 2 finale of Tracker, we finally see Colter (Justin Hartley) begin to unravel the mystery behind his father's death. Throughout the series, questions have been raised about what happened to Ashton Shaw, the things he was involved in, and even how Colter's mother, Mary, ties into all of it. The way the show is handling this plotline is becoming frustrating for many because it feels like it's just dancing around a great story, but is too afraid to tell it. However, the Tracker season 2 ending has given fans a glimpse of hope that next season will finally address its neglected central mystery.

The first two seasons of Tracker indicate the show has a winning formula, but a change in Tracker season 3 could help make sure viewers do not get bored with the current format. Tracker sees Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) travel around the United States while picking up missing persons cases for the reward money. He is a very good investigator, but nearly every episode of the series is currently set up the same way.

Though Tracker offers a unique approach to the procedural format, Tracker season 3 should make one big change to the way Colter Shaw’s team operates to make the series even better. Tracker is inspired by The Never Game by Jeffrey Deaver, which kicks off a series of novels about the character. The TV show follows Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) as he travels around the United States, finding people who are missing in exchange for the rewards offered.

The Tracker season 2 finale ended with the biggest revelation of the show so far, but that just set up a whole host of new questions for season 3 to answer. 'Echo Ridge' followed Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) as a missing person's case in his hometown led him to uncover a child trafficking ring - and a surprise connection to his own father. One of his father's carvings, in the trailer of a trafficker, took him to a man who knew Ashton (Lee Tergesen), and Colter finally learned who was responsible for his death.

Tracker showrunner Elwood Reid has moved to clarify the events of the Tracker season 2 finale revelation about who killed Colter's dad Ashton. The hit action drama debuted on CBS in February 2024, and stars Justin Hartley as lone wolf survivalist and 'rewardist' Colter Shaw, who helps find missing people, and is haunted by the death of his father as a child. While the show has played with the strained Shaw family dynamics, the season 2 finale took things up a notch, revealing who killed his father, whilst also adding further questions to the tragedy.
