With many shows wrapped up for the spring and the news of cancellations of some popular shows, fans will need something to look forward to from CBS, NBC, and ABC. Shonda Rhimes is one of television's biggest moguls, whose name is most associated with popular network dramas. Rhimes is best known as the creator, showrunner, head writer, and executive producer of ABC's massively successful medical drama Grey's Anatomy, which premiered in 2005. Though Rhimes stepped down in 2015, the series is still airing to this day, currently in its 21st season, following the personal and professional lives of surgical interns, residents, and attending physicians at a hospital in Seattle.

ABC has revealed the fates of several shows, though one high-profile drama still hangs in limbo. The network has already renewed the Emmy-winning mockumentary comedy Abbott Elementary for season 5, in addition to confirming that the Kaitlin Olson detective drama High Potential will be back for season 2. Outside those two shows, and in contrast to a few of its rivals, ABC has mostly refrained from early renewals for some of its most well-liked dramas.
