The Good Place debuted in 2016 and was created by Michael Schur, who also co-created Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), a woman who dies and is sent to The Good Place for having lived a meaningful, worthwhile life - unfortunately for Eleanor, she was mistaken for somebody else hasn't lived a worthy existence at all. She works with her so-called soulmate Chidi (William Jackson Harper) to help save herself from The Bad Place, designed by architect Michael (Ted Danson).

A reboot of the classic 1980s action-comedy The Cannonball Run is still on its way, and Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman is in early talks to direct. An update of the original movie has been long in development at Warners Bros., with several stars and filmmakers having been previously attached. However, it seems the studio is now looking at Liman as their potential helmer.

The planned Cannonball Run remake being set up at Warner Bros. will be Fast and the Furious meets Ocean's 11, says the movie's director Rawson Thurber. Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (Night at the Museum) are set to write the script for the modern-day update of the wacky 1981 all-star action-comedy about an anarchic cross-country road race.

These days all-star car-racing movies are hot again largely thanks to the insanely popular Fast and the Furious franchise, and sure enough Warner Bros. wants to capitalize on this by resurrecting The Cannonball Run and asg a new director and team of writers to the project.
