Insomniac is looking to expand its Marvel video game universe with the highly-anticipated Marvel's Wolverine. To truly make the Wolverine game feel connected to the Marvel's Spider-Man games, it would make sense for the two series to have some overlapping characters. Now, I'm not saying Spider-Man himself should show up in the Wolverine game, but it would still be nice to get solid confirmation that the games take place in the same world. Marvel's Spider-Man has already hinted at the existence of heroes like Doctor Strange and the Avengers, but there should be a more concrete connection established in Wolverine. 4t4c16

Marvel's Spider-Man 2's ending was near-perfect, an epic conclusion to a three-game saga that wrapped up its plots succinctly, gave Miles the space to breathe, and left enough tantalizing teases to get fans hyped for future releases. I was enamored with Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and that ending really helped solidify it as one of my all-time favorite games. It also helped that Peter's journey across the two games he's actually a part of is fantastic, something that both captivated my burgeoning interest in the Spider-Man comic book universe and encouraged me to look deeper into it.

At the end of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker seemingly es the mantle to Miles, letting him take over the role of the primary Spider-Man in New York. However, that doesn't mean that he is the only Spider-Man in the city, and there is evidence that he will not be the only one in the next game. In fact, I believe that that will be far from the truth, and there will be more than just 2 Spider-heroes roaming New York in the sequel.

With developer NetEase Games granting players access to Marvel Rivals' closed alpha on May 9, players have had a better look at the role-based multiplayer title, and have been able to analyze each hero's gameplay in depth based on clips that have been shared online. As is to be expected within any fandom, this footage has sparked debates regarding how they compare to past appearances of the characters in titles such as Marvel's Avengers or Marvel's Spider-Man, or even specific seasons of Fortnite.

Voice actor Yuri Lowenthal addressed what he wants to see inMarvel's Spider-Man 3, specifically in regards to his character Peter Parker. Following the conclusion of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, many fans are questioning whether the original Wall-Crawler will still have a presence in the Insomniac franchise's future. Fortunately, Lowenthal's comments are promising.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2, while telling its own complete narrative, has set up plenty of plot points for a future entry in the acclaimed superhero series. Although a new entry has yet to be officially announced by Sony or Insomniac Games, it seems inevitable after Marvel's Spider-Man 2's impressive sales, in which the game became the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game in its first 24 hours.

Assuming Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a hit and the series continues with Marvel's Spider-Man 3, Insomniac Games should ignore the recent multiverse trend that's dominated the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the wake of Sony's animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film. It's still not known if Insomniac's Marvel universe will see a third Marvel's Spider-Man game, but the developer may be tempted to delve into the concept if it does get green-lit. While the multiverse has led to some interesting story moments in the movies and TV shows, Insomniac has already built a strong foundation in its own universe and should continue to do so.
