Known for being involved in recent blockbuster projects, James Mangold has had a long career with several great films. James Mangold reveals what inspired his new movie, Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi. During the Lucasfilm Showcase at Star Wars Celebration, three new movies were announced, including one set further back in the past than ever before. Mangold's film will be set 25,000 years in the past and could explore the origins of the first Jedi as well as their connection to the Force.

James Mangold is reportedly making a biopic based on the life of the Hollywood icon Buster Keaton. Mangold’s films include the action-western 3:10 To Yuma, which led to him being selected to take over the X-Men spinoff The Wolverine in 2013. The underrated franchise entry was eventually followed up by Mangold’s critically acclaimed and Oscar-nominated Logan in 2017.
