After four seasons, The CW is putting an end to its Western remake, Walker, and unfortunately, there were many strong reasons why the show had to be canceled. Walker is a remake of Walker, Texas Ranger, a 1990s Western drama. It premiered on The CW three years ago, with Supernatural's Jared Padalecki as its star. In the series, a man named Cordell Walker returns home after two years away, working for Texas' most elite crime unit. The CW is a relatively young American television channel, but in its lifespan, it has given a platform to some incredibly popular shows. The CW was first broadcast in 2006 as the successor to UPN, or the United Paramount Network, and The WB. The network was a new home for shows that were founded by its two parent companies, CBS and Warner Bros., which is actually how it derives its name by using the initials of both companies.

Everyone Else Burns is a British show from Channel 4 about a devout puritanical family.

Amid cutbacks on scripted programming and a change in direction, The CWhas renewed British comedy Everyone Else Burns for season 2 ahead of its US premiere. The series stars The Inbetweeners' Simon Bird, Kate O'Flynn, Harry Connor, and Amy James-Kelly as the incredibly devout and strict Lewis family. James-Kelly's Rachel attempts to find her own way outside of her family's lifestyle without damning her soul. Everyone Else Burns premiered on Channel 4 and its streaming service All4 in January in the UK, but will have its US debut on October 26.

An executive producer on Nancy Drew bluntly calls out The CW over how it chose to cancel the series. Nancy Drew bowed out after four seasons, airing its series finale alongside Riverdale, as the network has notably shifted away from its brand as a destination for teen dramas. New owners Nexstar instead hope to broaden the channel's programming, expanding into sports and reality television. As a result, over the past year, many of The CW's familiar titles have been cancelled.
