Though first introduced to live-action in The Acolyte, Vernestra Rwoh was created for The High Republic, and the contrast between her character in both eras is stark. Though The Acolyte also takes place in the High Republic era, it's set towards the tail end of this golden age, and the faults of the Jedi in that series prove as much. Now, however, Star Wars intends to explain what happened to Vernestra.

Star Warshas just offered a sneak peek of Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh's high senate robes in The Acolyte, signaling what could be to come in the show's impending final episode. The Acolyte is set in the High Republic Era of the Star Wars timeline, which is considered the golden age of both the Jedi and the Republic. However, the show has yet to show the Republic Senate, despite making references to it. These brand-new robes for Master Rwoh could suggest this is about to change.

There was a hidden Easter egg in The Acolyte episode 6 that made a huge callback to Vernestra Rwoh's time in the High Republic novels. The Acolyte is set during the High Republic era, about 100 years before Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. Rebecca Henderson, who portrays Vernestra Rwoh in Star Wars' TV show The Acolyte, has revealed some of the secrets surrounding her epic weapon, the lightwhip. This lightsaber type was first introduced in Star Wars Legends, previously known as the Expanded Universe, and has since become canon in the High Republic era. Vernestra is the Jedi who wields the purple weapon, something seen often with her character in the High Republic books and comics. Now, it will finally be seen in live-action, and Henderson is revealing some secrets about it ahead of its debut.

Star Wars has just set up a whole new lightsaber form, one that could appear in live-action in less than three months. Although the lightsaber is believed to be older than the Jedi, this mystical kyber-powered weapon has become associated with both the Jedi and the Sith. Every lightsaber blade is unique, not least because the wielder bonds with the kyber crystal within it. Using a lightsaber is more like channeling a live current than swinging a blade.
