Released in 2004, White Chicks starred Marlon Wayans alongside his brother Shawn Wayans, in which they played FBI agents brother who go undercover as two rich white sisters, Tiffany and Brittany Wilson. Terry Crews appeared in a ing role as a basketball player who falls for 'Tiffany'. It was directed by another Wayans brother, Keenan Ivory Wayans.

Contrary to what Terry Crews recently said, White Chicks 2 isn't official, at least not yet. 2004's original White Chicks film was met with a lot of criticism for its lowbrow humor and use of racial stereotypes for comedic purposes - criticism that might well be even louder if the same premise were used today - but as years it's become a favorite of many, and has gathered a pretty solid following.

Terry Crews has apparently been in touch with Shawn Wayans, and it seems that White Chicks 2 is definitely going to happen at some point. The 2004 comedy received middling reviews for its lowbrow humor and reliance on racial stereotypes at the time, but it was a financial success, grossing over $113 million against a $37 million budget. Since then, it has became something of a cult classic.

Today comes a ridiculous piece of news that a sequel to the surprise hit comedy, White Chicks, has been given the go-ahead. The Wayans Brothers and Sony are going to be developing the project, with one of the other Wayans brothers, Keenen Ivory Wayans returning to direct the sequel.  Keenen, Shawn and Marlon Wayans are writing and producing the movie.
