According to a report, Microsoft is planning to bring several Xbox games to Nintendo Switch 2, and a leaker backed up the claim with some specific titles, with one noticeably missing. After Hellblade 2 was revealed to be coming to PlayStation 5, discussions about additional Microsoft Gaming titles coming to other platforms spilled online, with community asking a prominent leaker if any were coming to Nintendo's platforms. While the Xbox Series X and Series S are squarely in third place in the so-called console wars, Xbox is nonetheless going ahead with a leaked handheld system. Xbox Series X/S, however, remain generally celebrated machines, and new features are regularly improving the experience.

PlayStation 5 has been outselling the XboxSeries X|S by a wide margin, but the less popular console does a lot of stuff better. The first images of the long-rumored Xboxhandheld device have seemingly leaked, supposedly by an FCC listing. Earlier this year, a report indicated that Microsoft was working on a portable, handheld version of its signature Xbox console. Codenamed "Keenan," the device was reported to be heading for a 2025 release.

Classic 1990s ocean adventure game Ecco the Dolphin will be getting a remaster and a new game, but it will be a while before fans get to see them. The original game was developed by Novotrade International and published by SEGA for the Sega Genesis console in 1992. The game starred a time-traveling, alien-fighting bottlenose dolphin named Ecco, and its unique setting, protagonist, and premise made it stand out as a classic.

Microsoft has announced that recommended retailer prices for several Xbox consoles, accessories, and games will be changing beginning in May 2025. Citing "careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development," the official Xbox website reported price increases for a wide variety of products in the console line. A Blade Runner game was reportedly in development for the next-generation Xbox and what will presumably be called the PlayStation 6, but the unannounced game has been canceled. A humanoid rat embarking on his daily routine serves as the main subject, and the camera captures his emotions as he travels from an apartment complex to his office before returning home at the end of the day.

There's plenty to be excited about for the Xbox Games Showcase. With multiple titles currently under development by major studios, from Rare's Everwild to Playground Games's Fable reboot, there's a variety of games that could make an appearance when the presentation airs on June 8, 2025. Yet, there's one game above all else that I'm hoping will be making an appearance during the Xbox Games Showcase, that being Team Cherry's long-anticipated sophomore title, Hollow Knight: Silksong.
