Warning! This article contains spoilers for Deadpool #10.

While it doesn't seem as though most notably against Carnage, who's one of the most evil symbiote villains in the entire Marvel Universe.

In Deadpool #10 - from writer Kelly Thompson and artist Gerardo Sandoval - Wade Wilson led a squad of monsters to protect his island kingdom of Deadpoolopolis (formerly known as Staten Island) from Knull's symbiote dragons. However, the always adorable Jeff the Land Shark was bonded to one of the symbiote parasites, which made him extremely aggressive and evil. Thankfully, Wade came up with plan to take care of the situation, placing the Venomized Jeff in front of a comically large speaker, blasting Wu-Tang Clan until the sound waves completely removed and eradicated the symbiote, freeing Jeff from its control.

This is actually a method Deadpool has used before against Carnage back in 2014's Deadpool vs. Carnage miniseries from writer Cullen Bunn with art by Salvador Espin. While Carnage initially had Wade on the ropes, Deadpool came prepared with his MP3 player and two speakers attached to his belt, blasting the serial-killing symbiote with super loud dubstep, as he knew that sonics were a weakness for Carnage's predecessor Venom (and most symbiotes in general).

However, the additional layer of hilarity came when Deadpool also revealed that the songs were intentionally ed illegally, as Carnage "doesn't deserve sonic torture that's been paid for." This shows some pretty funny dedication and preparedness on Wade Wilson's part, and also seems to prove that using sonic tech is one of Deadpool's preferred go-to methods when it comes to dealing with symbiotes of any kind. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. However, the use of dubstep only temporarily incapacitated Carnage. Their fight ultimately ended in a stalemate thanks to Deadpool's breaking of the fourth wall, convincing Carnage that his actions were not his own, and merely the result of the issue's writing itself. Furthermore, Wade also had to don a symbiote suit of his own to even the odds.

While symbiotes have traditionally shown a weakness for fire and sonics, it's unclear what works and what doesn't with the Knull and his symbiote horde in the current King in Black crossover event. While Wade was able to free Jeff using loud Wu-Tang, Johnny Storm displayed an inability to stop the symbiotes with his fire as the Human Torch in other tie-in issues. As a result, if Deadpool were to unleash the power of Napster against bigger symbiote threats such as one of Knull's dragons or the Symbiote God himself, it's possible he might not get the same results that he did with Carnage or the symbiote that took control of Jeff. In any case, it's still pretty comical to discover that Deadpool has basically figured out how to handle the average symbiote in most circumstances by using his own personal beats.
