So, based on this concept, there would essentially be no "light side and "dark side"...those distinctions would be a creation of the creatures trying to use and understand the force.

However, if this is true, it would indicate that the force has some sort of moral code. Allow me to explain:

It has been firmly established that the force has a will; a if that is true, and the force wants to be fed pain, suffering, and death, then that means it deems some creatures of being deserving of those things.

If that's true, then it means that the Jedi and Sith are equally wrong because they are trying to use the force as a means to reach their desired ends, instead of trying to understand and follow the will of the force itself.
