A new clip from Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin (A.K.A. Norman Osborn). No Way Home is the third Spider-Man film in the MCU, and is arguably Marvel Studios' most highly-anticipated release of 2021. Marvel, as well as their collaborators at Sony Pictures, have been tight-lipped about the film, leading fans to endlessly speculate about the highly secretive production. The film is expected to contain many Easter eggs and cameos for long-time fans of the character; trailers for No Way Home have confirmed that the recently introduced multiverse will play a role in bringing characters from previous Spider-Man franchises into the MCU's continuity.
No Way Home's most recent trailer gave a brief glimpse of the iconic Green Goblin armor that first featured in Sam Raimi's original The Amazing Spider-Man films), Sandman, and the Lizard. Despite the confirmation of Osborn's return, official images of Dafoe in the film haven't been available until now.
A new video posted to the official Spider-Man YouTube channel gives the clearest look at Dafoe yet. The clip shows Osborn in his Green Goblin armor, though without the usual sneering mask; Dafoe instead is bare-faced with only a simple black hood to cover his head. He throws a pumpkin bomb, which a maskless Peter Parker leaps to catch. Check out the video below:

The film's second trailer showed a hooded figure riding on Green Goblin's Goblin Glider, leading many fans to suspect that the New Goblin (James Franco) from 2007's Spider-Man 3 might make an appearance. However, this latest image seems to debunk that rumor; it's likely just Dafoe in his hooded outfit riding the glider. Green Goblin's armor is expected to make at least one full appearance in the film, though it's possible that the new hooded outfit may be a new look for the character to differentiate him from the original trilogy.
Given Marvel Studios' track record, it's highly likely that the film will contain even more surprises and cameos than have been revealed thus far in promotional materials. So far, only legacy villains have been confirmed to appear, though it's highly likely that other characters from Raimi and Webb's films may make an appearance as well. Hopefully, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be able to honor the legacies of its predecessors.
