The plot of Home Alone 3 is a compelling idea, and the formula worked well for the first 2 movies, but unfortunately, the new cast just doesn't deliver as impressive a performance as the original cast.

I could never hate this movie, and I think it holds up. It may be a leap from the Wet Bandits trying to steal from Kevin to one boy fending off a major act of espionage, but... Well, even the original movie can be a bit far-fetched. Plus, it dared to throw new dynamics into the work, with the boy having to work in the brief open windows during the daytime, adding a new level of tension. Pared together with fun slapstick and over-the-top action? Instant childhood classic.
