Warhammer 40K Space Marines that draws heavy inspiration from Vikings and Norse mythology, would receive a massive new line revamp later this year. While the rank-and-file Space Wolves were revealed last month, a new second wave of models will be ing them, featuring several iconic characters from the lauded Space Marines chapter.
Today, the Warhammer Community page showcased a second wave of Space Wolves miniatures due for release later this year. The new models include a new Logan Grimnar model, marking the first time that the leader of the Space Wolves has gotten a new miniature in over a decade and the first time the model has gotten a non-vehicle model in 25 years. Also coming are new Arjac Rockfist and Njal Stormcaller models as well as new Terminator and Headtakers units.
Space Wolves Get Epic Second Wave of Miniatures
One Notable Exclusion Is Bjorn The Fell-Handed
The Space Wolves were long overdue for new miniatures, although it was surprising that so many characters were added to the line revamp. Logan Grimnar is the leader of the Space Wolves and hasn't gotten a non-vehicle model since 2000. Meanwhile, Arjac Rockfist and Njal Stormcaller haven't received new models since the last major Space Wolves line revamp back in 2009. It's not only expected that these models will be rescaled to match other Primaris Space Marines, but they look appropriately epic compared to their previous models.

I Wish We Were Getting This 40K Game Before Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3
It is great we’re officially getting Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, but I really wish we were getting a different 40K game beforehand.
One surprising missing character from the Space Wolves is Bjorn the Fell-Handed, a Dreadnought piloted by one of the original Space Wolves. Bjorn the Fell-Handed is one of the most popular Space Marines, dating back to the original line of Space Wolves releases and his absence feels like a big exclusion from the line. While Bjorn received a new model back in 2014, it feels like a missed opportunity for Bjorn not to receive a revamped miniature given how many of his counterparts have received new models.
Our Take: With The Space Wolves Getting An Update, Is Leman Russ Set To Follow?
Space Wolves Line Could Herald Return Of Their Primarch
With the return of several Primarchs on both sides of the battle between the Imperium and Chaos, it feels like this Space Wolves revamp is setting up for the return of Leman Russ as the next Loyalist Primarch. If Russ were to return, it would mark the beginning of the Wolftime that Russ prohesized about before he disappeared from the Warhammer 40K lore in the aftermath of the Horus Heresy. Given how Warhammer 40K has been building up to some kind of new storyline, Russ's return would certainly be fitting sometime in the next couple of years.
