Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the best shows to come out of the 1990s. Like all of us, each of the characters falls into a Chinese Zodiac Sign. But these characters are categorized based on their personalities. So where do our beloved Buffy characters fall on the zodiac chart?

Rat: Cordelia

Though Cordelia left the show by the time Buffy went to college, she was an important ing character during the first couple of seasons. Cordelia was originally a Mean Girl-type. She thought Buffy was exceedingly uncool and made her thoughts known.

Soon enough Cordelia was part of the gang and helping out. That's because as a Rat, entrepreneurial and judgemental but at the end of the day has a very generous spirit. So even though Cordelia wants to be on top, she knows working with the Slayer is the right thing to do.

Ox: Angel

Angel was the show's hottie for the first few seasons. A brooding vampire with a soul, Angel is Buffy's soulmate. He would do anything for her, even sacrifice his life. He became a powerful ally of the Scooby Gang.

Angel is a classic Ox. He is unceasingly loyal and a great leader. Even though he didn't lead the Gang, he did get his own show. He's a bit stubborn like an Ox, often fighting with Buffy over who is right.

Tiger: Willow

Willow is a powerful witch. Originally the dork of the group, she comes into her own as a queer woman and an expert in her craft. Willow has been known to go rogue if she believes she's fighting for what's right.

Tigers do the same. They're sensitive and care deeply for their friends but they can go a little off the rails. Willow's addiction to magic definitely qualifies as going a bit off the rails.

Rabbit: Oz

Oz was Willow's boyfriend for a time as well as Sunnydale's resident werewolf. He's quiet and thoughtful, only interjecting when he has something meaningful to say. Everyone likes Oz, despite the whole werewolf thing.

Rabbits are totally likable. Oz is sentimental and really treasures Willow during their time together like a true Rabbit would.

Dragon: Anya

Anya is a demon who's become human. She's a bit odd since she's still learning human customs. Hundreds of years of punishing men on behalf of their lovers can't be erased overnight. Anya is big and bold and not afraid to make mistakes.

Anya is a Dragon through and through. She might be a little awkward but it's largely charming. That's just like a Dragon. They're big and they breathe fire and fly but everyone likes them anyway.

Snake: Spike

Spike is a complicated character. He's a villain but also a hero for a time. And then he's definitely a villain again. Spike always says he's trying to avoid drama but somehow he ends up seeking out the Scooby Gang anyway.

That constant engagement is Snake-like behavior. He is also never without a girlfriend, even if he's not terribly interested in them. He, like all Snakes, really wants to be loved.

Horse: Buffy

Our Slayer Buffy is, obviously, the hero of all heroes. She is independent, even living alone in Los Angeles for a time. Buffy works hard at her unpaid job, slaying vampires and demons. She sacrifices everything to protect the world and her loved ones.

This work ethic is characteristic of Horses. They have strong, independent spirits. Like Buffy, Horses are smart and natural-born leaders.

Sheep: Tara

Tara is quite possibly the softest and strongest member of the Scooby Gang. A powerful witch and Willow's girlfriend, Tara is soft-spoken but always ready to help out. She may be a witch but sometimes she really seems like an angel.

Sheep are angels on Earth, like Tara. They are so gentle and kind. But they have a quiet strength lying just beneath that kindness. Tara can do some real damage if someone she loves is in danger. Don't underestimate Sheep.

Monkey: Xander

He doesn't have any powers, or any specific skills really. But he's always there to provide some .

Monkeys are always the comedians in their friend groups. They're funny, witty, and ive. Even though Xander doesn't have any slaying training, he uses humor to elevate the Scooby Gang morale.

Rooster: Faith

Faith is a Slayer too. She was Buffy's ally before she turned evil and ed the other side. As an antagonist, Faith is formidable. She knows what she wants and she's willing to do anything to get it.

Like a Rooster, Faith loves drama and being the center of attention. She's not ashamed of it- why should she be? She has the skills and confidence to back it up. Roosters have those beautiful feathers, why not show them off?
