It was hard for The Office fans to accept that the show was coming to an end in 2013, but with sad endings come new beginnings. With the actors and actresses behind the hit NBC sitcom now able to focus on other work, there have been a few instances where they've worked together in new projects.

The Mindy Project: Mindy Kaling...and a ton of the cast

Mindy Kaling was a writer, producer, director, and actor in The Office. Starring as Kelly Kapoor, Kaling added colorful energy to an otherwise dull office. Once The Office wrapped up, Kaling jumped into creating her own show, The Mindy Project. The sitcom lasted for six seasons and had so much promise. It also had some familiar faces from The Office pop up.

B.J. Novak (Ryan) appeared as Mindy's ex-boyfriend Jamie, Ellie Kemper (Erin) loaned her talents as Heather, Paul Lieberstein (Toby) was another sad sack called Cuddle Spot Man, and even Dwight's babysitter was featured as Mindy's office receptionist.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi: John Krasinski And David Denman

In 2016, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi hit theaters. The action movie was based on the book of the same name and detailed an attack on the American consulate in Benghazi.

In the film, John Krasinski (Jim) plays the new guy Jack Silva while David Denman (Roy) played U.S. Marine Scout Sniper, Boon.

Late Night: Mindy Kaling And Amy Ryan

Holly Flax) plays Caroline Morton, the woman who owns the network and is moments away from ending Karen's series.

Blades of Glory: Jenna Fischer And Will Ferrell

Blades of Glory came out in 2007 (two years after The Office took off) and starred Will Ferrell (Deangelo) and Jon Heder. The chilly comedy was about two rival male figure skaters who team up to perform as a duo.

In the film, Jenna Fischer (Pam) plays the younger sister to a brother-and-sister pair of skaters and seduces Ferrell's character.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie: Ed Helms And Leslie David Baker

DreamWorks came out with Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie in 2017. The adorable animated film is based on the wildly popular children's book and had actor Ed Helms (Andy) starring as Captain Underpants.

In the film, two students convince their principal that he's Captain Underpants, and hilarity ensues. But Helms isn't the only Office star in the film; Leslie David Baker (Stanley) voices Officer Miggly.

Inside Out: Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith and Rashida Jones

Inside Out took cinema by storm in 2015 with its incredible storytelling. The story of a young girl named Reilly, viewers meet all the emotions inside her head and how they affect her day to day, just like us. Both Mindy Kaling and Phyllis Smith (Phyllis) are main characters, voicing Disgust and Sadness, respectively. However, also making an appearance is Rashida Jones (Karen) who voiced one of the "Cool Girl's Emotions."

Bridesmaids: Ellie Kemper And Andy Buckley

In the movie , Ellie Kemper plays one of Lilian's bridesmaids. She's a newlywed who is incredibly sweet but a little too pure for some of the other women. But just like in The Office, Kemper was hilarious.

Another actor from The Office who made an appearance in Bridesmaids was Andy Buckley (David Wallace). His role was very miner but he played Helen's absent husband.

Vice: Amy Adams And Steve Carell

In 2018, Steve Carell starred as Donald Rumsfeld, while Amy Adams played Lynne Cheney in Vice. The movie was a success with other big star names like Christian Bale and Tyler Perry. Vice had mixed reviews but Office fans couldn't get over seeing Steve Carell and Amy Adams on-screen once again.

Adams played Jim's ex-girlfriend and "purse girl" Katie in a few Office episodes before she made it big. When Michael first meets Katie in The Office, he of course comes on too strong and practically pushes her into the arms of another man.

Fresh Off The Boat: Angela Kinsey and Randall Park

Fresh Off The Boat is currently on its sixth season and is beloved for its ground-breaking diversity. The show is actually based on a book about Asian immigrants coming to America, and it's done perfectly. In the show, Randall Park plays one of the main characters Louis, but if fans can , he also played Pam and Jim's friend in "Andy's Ancestry." He portrayed "Asian Jim" as a prank on Dwight, and it was such a memorable performance. Another Office actress that has been on Fresh Off The Boat is actress Angela Kinsey. She played Amy Chestnut, Matthew Chestnut's ex-wife.

Big Mouth: Craig Robinson And Zach Woods

Big Mouth hit Netflix in 2017 and became an instant hit with animated-loving adults. The hilarious show takes us through BFFs Nick and Andrew's lives as they get a handle on puberty, adolescence, school, and friends. In the show, Craig Robinson (Darryl) appeared in four episodes as Pubic Hair #2. Also in the show was Zach Woods (Gabe) who played Daniel, aka "Head Pusher," for two episodes.
