1000-lb Sisters season 6, bringing more attention to her side of the family’s engrossing story.

During an Instagram Q&A, Amanda shared an answer to a question about how she’s doing and how much weight she’s lost. While she shared she’d love to be able to update her followers on things going on in her life, she explained that she’s not able to because of her 1000-lb Sisters contracts. “All the questions that you’re asking are great questions…[but they’re] things that pertain to the show, so until the show is officially canceled and everything has aired, I can’t give an update for myself,” Amanda explained, alluding to the fact that the show could’ve been canceled.

Although Amanda wasn’t clear about the future of 1000-lb Sisters, it’s possible her comments meant that the show could be coming to an end. After Amy and Tammy’s recent issues throughout the last few years, 1000-lb Sisters has been less of a priority for the main cast than their mental and physical health. Although Amy could be more interested in taking a step back than Tammy, it’s possible that without both sisters, the show may not be able to continue. Even so, it seems possible that there are already episodes of 1000-lb Sisters that viewers haven’t seen yet.

Amanda’s comments make it appear as though 1000-lb Sisters season 7, and possibly beyond, have already been filmed, but the show will be coming to an end after the pre-filmed episodes air on the network. Though there’s possibly some truth to that theory, it’s also possible that the show could be continuing as normal. While viewers won’t know anything about the future of 1000-lb Sisters until the network announces new information, Amanda and the rest of the family have been open about what they can share online. The Slaton family enjoys interacting with viewers and wants to keep them updated.

Our Take On 1000-lb Sisters’ Potential Cancellation

It Seems Likely After Tammy & Amy’s Issues

Although Amanda didn’t share whether 1000-lb Sisters would be ending, she did allude to the idea that the show may be coming to its natural conclusion. While Tammy, Amy, and the rest of the Slaton siblings have been working through their weight loss journeys on screen, their personal lives have taken some difficult turns throughout the last few years that could leave them hoping for more private time. If Tammy and Amy are looking for some time away from 1000-lb Sisters, it would make sense for the show to end, even if the rest of the family is still interested.
