Andrei Castravet finally reveals why he left Moldova in a sneak peek for the episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Apparently, a corrupt police force forced Andrei to leave the country.

On the August 30 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Andrei took his wife and in-laws to a village in Moldova where they engaged in some old-fashioned winemaking. The sweet moment was a welcome relief, as Andrei has been feuding with his in-laws all season long. But the comradery between Andrei used to be a detective in his home country, they've been obsessed with discovering the reason behind his move. Andrei, however, hasn't wanted to talk about it. Thanks to his many outbursts since returning home, the reality star has been made to look like he is hiding a secret. Elizabeth’s family has been no help, as they too feel their newest family member is lying.

Finally, the real reason behind Andrei's move has come to light. In TLC’s preview for the next episode, Andrei was forced out of Moldova, which then raises the question of what could make a young man venture to a whole new country to start over. The reality star confirmed to fans and his new family that he was indeed forced to leave his homeland. According to Andrei, the police forced him out because he did not want to be part of the corruption within his country. The police force does not earn more than $250 a month in salary and work more than 80 hours a week, forcing most officers to turn to illegal activities. According to Andrei, many had "closed eyes" to the illegal activities that surrounded them and would even go along with the illicit behavior. He explained to his in-laws that he and his friends would have no choice but to execute the orders if a higher rank told them to. If he were to say no, he would be set up to take the fall for a crime he didn't commit.

During the intense conversation, Andrei explained that he was set up after becoming a new police officer because he was supposed to "prove himself."  At one point, he said an officer would have to choose to break the law or get out, and he chose to get out. Andrei explained that if he stayed, he’d either be in jail or working with the bad guys.

Fans were happy that Andrei finally came clean about his past, since it was the only ammunition the Potthast family has against him. Now, Elizabeth and Andrei can concentrate on their wedding and mending their family.
