90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers got to experience Charlie's character up-close when he arrived in Moldova with his father, Chuck Potthast. As soon as he landed, he started bickering about how Andrei Castravet's country isn't as developed as Tampa, Florida. He then kept on interrogating his brother-in-law about his past until he lost his cool and got up to fight him physically. Even during the wedding, Libby's brother didn't try to be cordial with Andrei and insulted him in front of his friends and family. He ed rude remarks like, "He might be royalty in Moldova, but he's a b*tch ass in America" and "The King of Moldova, not sh*t in America." Under alcohol's influence, he snatched the microphone from his father and made a (hate) speech for the newlyweds. He said, "I just want to say, we need to stop paying for your bullsh*t. Get your sh*t together. Don't come to America and try to live off my dad."
Charlie grabbed many eyeballs after creating so much drama in just a couple of minutes. Now, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? fans want to know what he's like in real life. Recently, he attempted to explain his portrayal on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? He posted a family picture with Lib, Andrei, Chuck, and other family and wrote, "I might come off as an *ss on the show but I love my family. All families have drama and nobody is perfect. We had a great time celebrating my dad @chuckpotthast birthday!" While some fans think that what he did at the wedding was unjustified, others believe he did the right thing.
