Many 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? fans were stunned to see how Elizabeth Potthast's brother Charlie Potthast acted at the Moldovan 'royal wedding'. He got drunk, started insulting his brother-in-law Andrei Castravet and embarrassed his whole family. Now, many viewers are calling him a "tool" and telling him, "U suck."
Since Charlie's arrival in Moldova with his father Chuck Potthast, he has been taunting Andrei and his country. In the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, Charlie got jealous after seeing the extravagant wedding arrangements, since he knew that his dad had financed the whole ceremony. Libby Potthast's brother called Chuck "soft" and accused his sister and her husband of stealing their dad's money. During a confessional, Charlie lamented, "I think it was expensive. My dad has seven kids, so it's like, did you do this for every other kid? No, you didn't so, it's like, why are you doing this for him?"
Many 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers aren't happy with how Charlie behaved at such a special occasion. He was disrespectful not only to Elizabeth and Andrei but to Andrei's parents, relatives, and friends. Still, the TLC star tried to defend his behavior on his Instagram post by saying, "I might come off as an a*s on the show but I love my family. All families have drama and nobody is perfect. We had a great time celebrating my dad @chuckpotthast birthday!" Fans were not having it. They called him a "tool" and "disgusting." Check out the family picture he posted:
A critic said, "With four kids, you should care more about how you behave. Zero class. Set a better example!" Another one wrote, "No class. You should have been cooler at the wedding. Andrei should have tuned you up." Amid so much backlash, he also received a few compliments like, "You don't come off like an ass on the show... you're a loving and protective son and brother... God Bless you and your beautiful family, brotha!" and "You were 100% correct in all that you said!"
While what Charlie said was right, how he said it was completely wrong. He was highly intoxicated and barely able to stand up straight while attending his sister's wedding. Father of four Charlie Potthast picked the worst moment to share his innermost thoughts and feelings. Being a family man, he should have known better and discussed his concerns some other time. However, that wouldn't have made the episode as dramatic and interesting to watch. Right?
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? airs Sundays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
