Angela Deem from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? has another daughter named Scottie Deem, who has never been featured on the hit series for highly problematic reasons. Angela, 57, and Michael, 35, first introduced their tumultuous relationship to fans during 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days seasons 2 and 3. The couple has been through plenty of breakups due to a mountain of trust issues that developed after Michael itted to cheating on Angela shortly after they first got together. However, there's even more drama regarding Angela than just her relationship with Michael.

While filming 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 3, Angela, who wants a baby with Michael, did not mention her daughter Scottie and her dangerous past. Instead of talking about her daughter, Angela was too busy preparing for her fiancé's arrival in the U.S. However, Michael's visa was denied, meaning she would have to visit Nigeria to see him. Despite the ups and downs in Michael and Angela's relationship, there was still much more to Angela's past that she hadn't shared.

Scottie Has A Criminal Past Involving A Minor

Throughout the show, there have been questions about Angela’s family. Angela has a daughter named Skyla and many grandkids but only talks to one daughter on 90 Day Fiancé. As it turns out, Angela's other daughter, Scottie, was initially indicted in September 2018 on one count of statutory rape, one count of aggravated molestation, and 11 counts of child molestation, which stemmed from an altercation with a juvenile boy back in 2017. She was then released from jail in 2020, much earlier than expected.

On several occasions, when Scottie’s boyfriend was not around, and even in front of other children, Scottie attacked the underaged boy.

Angela has not seen her daughter since she was put behind bars for molestation charges, only serving 15 months of a possible 20-year sentence. According to Starcasm, the 35-year-old received three 20-year sentences to be served together after she pled guilty to charges in early 2019. Scottie, who was at the time a woman in her early 30s, was convicted of raping a boy under 16 years old. The boy’s grandmother reported the crime, telling law enforcement that Scottie was a good friend of the family. On several occasions, when Scottie’s boyfriend was not around, and even in front of other children, Scottie attacked the underaged boy.

Scottie pleaded guilty to three counts of child molestation. Prison records showed that Scottie was released on parole on May 6, 2020. Fans of the show are horrified and outraged by Angela’s daughter’s indiscretions and the short sentencing. Viewers took to Reddit to share their disgust. One , @1DelightfullyCmplctd, commented on the early release stating,

“This is disgusting. I'm surprised Scottie wasn't tortured to the point of no return for a crime against a child/children. The laws should be changed for sex offenders. She should not even be allowed near children.”

Whether audiences believe that Angela should be in any way associated with the crimes, the sentiment that Scottie is a subhuman criminal seems to be universally shared. Scottie was released from Pulaski State Prison early, after serving a measly 15 months. In March of 2019, Scottie was sentenced. By May of 2020, Scottie was released to the general public. Reports indicated that Scottie would be serving at least two years and one day, so it's possible her early release was due to overcrowding.

Some viewers found out she was released when she posted a now-deleted photo for Black Lives Matter on her Instagram, but this could be coincidental. Scottie has been added to the Georgia sex offender registry but was taken off parole in 2021. She has since deleted Instagram and does not maintain any public social media s. Scottie seems to be laying low as backlash and criticism run rampant online.

Many look to Angela, as Scottie’s mother, for commentary on the situation. Angela has not addressed her daughter’s crimes.

As previously stated, some fans take Angela’s side, claiming that she should not be required to make a statement. Others may argue that, as a public figure and mother, she should apologize and/or take some ability for the actions of her offspring. It is worth mentioning that Scottie is, of course, an adult and the pair do not seem to have a close-knit relationship. One Reddit , @hamimono, offered,

"Angela owes NO ONE a statement about this. It is her absolute heartache I am sure and no one’s business. Angela can’t control what a sick weird adult daughter did/does but Angela DID do the right thing by stepping up to take full care of all of those children."

Despite all the unrest with her daughter Scottie, Angela still took herself to Nigeria to marry Michael. It seems things briefly worked out for the pair, as they married in a wedding ceremony in January 2020. While they continuously break up and get back together, the pair can still be seen in recent episodes. Angela's drama with Michael on 90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After? may be eye-roll-inducing, but the history of her daughter Scottie is nothing short of disgusting and shocking.
