Yara made a makeshift sign using a cardboard box that read, "Welcome home from rehab, daddy."

Yara posted an Instagram video showing Jovi returning home from an airport but, instead, made it look like he was leaving rehab.

Yara used the song “Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)” by Usher. She created a makeshift sign using a cardboard box, which she made her daughter Mylah pose with. The sign read, “Welcome home from rehab daddy.” Yara walked with Mylah to the airport exit carrying the sign and photographed Jovi holding it after he walked out with his luggage. Yara said she was going to make greeting Jovi at the airport with a fun sign their tradition.

Yara Zaya Sign Gets Mixed Reactions From 90 Day Fiancé Fans

Some Fans Find Yara's Video Hilarious While Others Say It's Insensitive

Yara further added that she almost forgot to make the sign. She had to make it 20 minutes before Jovi arrived. Jovi was in on the joke, so she made him wait while she made it. Several of Yara’s 90 Day Fiancé castmates jumped into her comments section to laugh at her little joke about Jovi returning from rehab. Shaeeda Sween said Yara and Jovi were “too cute.” Ashley Michelle said that she can’t help but laugh out loud every time she sees the video on her Instagram feed. Jenny Slatten said Yara was hilarious.

“Insensitive behavior. Some people will do anything for views.”

Yara’s Instagram follower @Tiffanybryn slammed her for making a joke about recovery. Yara was told that her video was in poor taste by people who have family who are recovering addicts. Some of her fans didn’t like her showing someone coming out of rehab as an embarrassment, since it takes courage for one to ask for help when in need. Yara was asked to think about others and the struggles they go through. However, most other fans understood that Yara was just joking around and that her post was hilarious.

It's not the first time that Yara has pranked Jovi. She posted a similar video in January 2024 where she welcomed Jovi home from “prison.” Yara may have created the second video because the first one went viral with over 77,000 likes on Instagram. Yara is a social media creator trying to create a trend that will get her engagement. She also has to stay away from Jovi for several months because of his job, and she’s just trying to make light of the situation by wanting 90 Day Fiancé fans to in on the joke.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 premieres Sunday, March 17 at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
