I'm really disappointed that Sinners is the highest-grossing original movie of the decade domestically.

Seeing this statistic hurt my soul on a level I wasn't prepared for. Don't get me wrong, Sinners is a great movie, but the fact that this is the first time in nearly five years that an original script film has grossed over $200 million is painful. Screenplays are one of the pillars of film as an art form, and this stat shows how dominant IP and adaptations are in contemporary cinema.

Could Brandon Sanderson have saved The Wheel of Time show?

I think Brandon Sanderson made some excellent points about The Wheel of Time throughout the show's run, and I wouldn't even say it's exclusively because he wrote the final books. Of course, he's an expert on the topic, but I think his generalized thoughts, like preparing a script before beginning filming and planning more carefully for the overarching narrative, would have been really useful. Especially early on.

Are old Pokemon actually better or is it just nostalgia?

While I feel confident in saying old Pokémon games were better, at least in relation to their respective consoles, I feel less right saying that about the recent generations of monsters. It's easy to point out the duds, but the early generations weren't without their Pokémon that were simply mediocre. The area that's suffered the most, to me, is the final evolutions of starters, but that might also be due to the pedestal I place the originals on.
