Could Patrick Schwarzenegger play Patrick Bateman in the American Psycho reboot?

I was under the impression that Austin Butler had the role, but rumors have begun to swirl around The White Lotus' Patrick Schwarzenegger. Honestly, I like this choice a lot better. In a way, it feels fitting that he would play a character like this after his role on The White Lotus season 3, but it also just excites me that he hasn't played an over-the-top character quite like Patrick Bateman. Austin Butler is a great actor, but he's begun developing a reputation for characters with very big personalities, and it would be too on-the-nose to have him lead American Psycho.

Will it be a mistake to not incorporate Prometheus lore in Alien: Earth?

I'm really excited for Alien: Earth, but I'm somewhat disappointed and nervous about what Noah Hawley has said about the Alien prequels. It seems like a ton of fans have come around on Prometheus, in particular, and I'm worried the ion audiences feel for that movie's lore will overshadow anything the FX series attempts to create. I'm not opposed to change, but I wouldn't want to see the show alienate long-time fans of the franchise.

I have no interest in Robert Eggers' A Christmas Carol movie.

Robert Eggers is a fantastic director, and I enjoyed his version of Nosferatu. However, I'd much rather see him working on original stories or screenplays. With The Northman and The Witch, and for the most part with The Lighthouse, the ideas were original, and that's a significant part of what made them work so well. With him allegedly working on a Labyrinth sequel, I don't want him to also do a Charles Dickens adaptation.
