Now, A Discovery of Witches season 1 has made it onto the Netflix charts. The season came in at no. 5 in the top 10 shows globally for the week of April 18 to April 24, amassing 3.4 million views. The series made it into the top 10 in 37 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, , Portugal, and New Caledonia.

AMC And Netflix's Deal Is Working

The success of A Discovery of Witches is another sign that the relationship between Netflix and AMC is going well. Looking at this week's list, Lioness season 1, a Paramount show, also made it onto the charts. Though the majority of the list is still comprised of Netflix's original content, the success of series like A Discovery of Witches and Lioness shows that Netflix can do well as a TV distributor rather than just a creator. If trends like this continue, AMC and Netflix may be apt to extend their deal.
