As A Working Man was based on a book, the basic outline of the story was already there before writing began, and the film managed to adapt Levon's Trade well enough despite some changes. However, that novel is just the first in a very long series, which currently consists of 11 total books that cover a very wide variety of stories. They are all centered around the protagonist, Levon Cade, played by Statham in the movie.

With that much content to work with, and with the fact that A Working Man has been set up to become a big success, making sequels to the movie seems like it would be a no-brainer. Having 10 other Levon Cade books to look at for inspiration, whether to directly adapt or simply to take ideas from and use in a more original work, means that pulling off a sequel should be relatively easy.

While The Beekeeper was a pretty huge success, and its box office will probably not be sured by that of A Working Man, sequels to that film would be a lot more of a gamble. The Beekeeper was wholly original, and while a sequel could work, the film works just fine as a standalone story.

A Working Man's sequels, on the other hand, could be much easier to make given the structure of the books. Additionally, they would already have a built-in audience – those who were already fans of the source material.
