A creative spooky Luigi-focused game, and considered the series' best.

Although the game released over three years ago now, consistent Luigi's Mansion 3 experience - which helped maintain interest in the ghost-centric Super Mario Bros. spin-off. While DLC brought new mini-games and other features to the title, spooky ghouls remain at the center of the game's narrative - with the sizeable ghastly threat King Boo serving as an integral antagonist in Luigi's Mansion 3. King Boo is a large, white ghost; characterized by his sparkling jewel crown, glowing pink eyes and purple tongue. Distinctive in his appearance, King Boo is also known to be one of the most menacing threats in all of the Super Mario Bros. franchise following his 2001 debut in the original Luigi's Mansion.

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player by the Reddit name of acnhsulky recently unveiled their in-game recreation of Luigi's Mansion 3. acnhsukly aptly dressed their playable character in Luigi-style garb, complete with his signature "L" logoed green paperboy cap and blue suspender outfit. To add to the overall effect, though, acnhsukly creatively used the help of village ghoul Wisp by giving him a crown to look like Luigi's Mansion 3 antagonist King Boo. Although not nearly as large as King Boo, Wisp recognizably (and very clearly) mimics the notorious ghost. acnhsulky also armed their playable character with a vacuum cleaner - Luigi's weapon of choice throughout his spooky game series. To add to the already accurate rendition of Luigi's Mansion 3, acnhsulky appropriately decorated the interior of their surrounding structure to look like a decrepit, ominous mansion.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons frequently witnesses fan-made collaborations with other video games. The Legend of Zelda is a popular choice for creative inspiration in Animal Crossing, with some fans recreating the former game's setting of Hyrule on their ACNH islands. One Animal Crossing player recently recreated the entrance to The Legend of Zelda: Lost Woods - a creepy and foreboding part of BOTW's map, much like the settings of Luigi's Mansion games. Although Animal Crossing's islands tend to have pretty good weather, complete with sunshine and clear skies - the player who constructed the Lost Woods entrance managed to snap a picture of the structure on a day with both snow and heavy fog for added effect.

While acnhsulky's rendition of Luigi's Mansion 3 is by no means the first (or last) time an ACNH player will initiate a collaboration with another game franchise, acnhsulky's creation is certainly notable for its special use of Wisp. NPCs frequently take part in fan-made, in-game creations; but Wisp rarely makes an appearance in these projects. Perhaps others will utilize Wisp's character, now that acnhsulky has showcased the ghost's great use in their Luigi's Mansion 3 recreation.
