The superhero world has become increasingly more popular over the past decade, as more movies are released and more characters are highlighted. No longer do fans just know about the major characters such as Batman and Spider-Man, but even more of the comic book greats are being explored.
Two of the most powerful characters in the superhero world as Adam Warlock and Dr. Strange. They are mystical and have some of the most exciting powers available in the comic book worlds. Because of that fans often wonder who would come out on top in a fight between them. While we may never know the true answer, we can certainly enter a world of make-believe and imagine what a fight between them would be like. In this list, that's exactly what we will do, giving five reasons why Adam Warlock would win, and five reasons Dr. Strange would win.
Dr. Strange: His Cape
While Dr. Strange himself has plenty of supernatural abilities that can cause tons of issues to anyone in a fight, he does have one major advantage on his side. That is his cape. The cape is one of the most exciting parts of his character, as it really does seem to have a mind of its own.
The cape comes into its own at several points throughout the movies and it would no doubt be useful in a battle against Adam Warlock. While it certainly wouldn't be the biggest difference-maker, it would certainly play a big factor.
Adam Warlock: Superhuman Strength
While Dr. Strange has a wide range of powers and abilities, but when it comes to hand to hand combat, that really isn't his strength. He's not exactly physically dominant, which means fighting hand to hand won't be something that Dr. Strange would want to do.
However, that is where Adam Warlock has an edge. One of his abilities is superhuman strength, which is similar to that of Captain America. That means if he got up close enough to Dr. Strange, he would easily be able to cause plenty of damage.
Dr. Strange: Summoning Objects
This is an incredible ability that would certainly give Dr. Strange a major advantage in any fight against Adam Warlock. The fact he can summon any object at any time is quite a crafty and helpful tool, as being able to wield some huge weapons is certainly helpful.
It's not something that Marvel has really explored in too much detail yet in the MCU. However, it is a power that he possesses and it is something that could really help him in any battle, no matter how strong his opponent is.
Adam Warlock: Using Cosmic Energy
Another of Adam Warlock's powers it the fact that he can harness cosmic energy if he needs to, which he can use to not only hurt people getting in his way but also as a manner of protection. The power allows him to use energy projection, and that is something that not even Dr. Strange might be able to handle.
He also can use this to recover energy and get back to normal after a fight. Having this cacoon-like ability to protect himself is fantastic, and being able to defend himself is something that is just as important as attacking others.
Dr. Strange: Teleporting
When it comes to having amazing powers, few are better than having the ability to teleport. This is something that we have seen countless times within the MCU, with Dr. Strange being able to teleport not only himself but others if needed.
This is quite a handy ability as he can teleport away and pop up whenever Adam Warlock least expects it. Or, he can send Adam away to another area which will certainly help in a fight. It's a great ability and could easily give him the upper hand.
Adam Warlock: The Soul Stone
Something that makes Dr. Strange and Adam Warlock fairly similar is that they both possess two of the infinity stones. Obviously, in the MCU this isn't something that is done as Adam Warlock has yet to be introduced, but in the comics, he often can be found with the soul stone.
This is something that he is able to use to his advantage, and having that at his disposal allows Adam Warlock to do plenty of different things depending on the storyline. There's no doubt he would find a way to utilize it in his favor against Dr. Strange as well.
Dr. Strange: Protective Fields
While Doctor Strange certainly has a lot of abilities and powers that he can use to attack people, he is also supremely intelligent. Because of that, he uses a lot of his powers for defensive purposes, which makes him very difficult to defeat in a fight.
One example of that is the energy shields that he is able to create. It's one of the traits he uses most frequently and with good reason. The fact that he can use the shields to protect himself and stop others from hurting him is certainly a useful trait.
Adam Warlock: Pure Speed
While Adam Warlock has super strength, he also possesses super speed. He is able to move with great pace and agility and that is something that would work in his favor against Dr. Strange. Being able to avoid his attacks while trying to hurt him from behind would certainly be helpful.
Speed is always a great help in a fighting situation, simply because of how hard it is for other people without that power to deal with. That's why this would certainly work in his favor.
Dr. Strange: Assessing Every Situation
Arguably Dr. Strange's greatest asset is the fact that he can travel to different dimensions at any point, which means he can analyze every single possibility of what is going to happen. Dr. Strange most famously used the power to determine how to defeat Thanos, therefore there's no doubt he could use it against Adam Warlock.
This is one of the best powers of any superhero in the MCU, and it really could play a big impact in him being able to defeat anybody, Adam Warlock included. He would just be able to look through every possible solution and then utilize the correct strategy.
Adam Warlock: He Has Immortality
Ultimately when it comes down to things, a fight between these two characters would likely be a draw. With Dr. Strange being able to look at every single situation to stop Adam from defeating him, Warlock could also avoid being killed by the fact that he has immortality.
Even though he can technically die, the fact that Death can't take his soul means that Adam Warlock is able to live on forever. Because of that, it would make it impossible for Dr. Strange to truly defeat him, which is certainly his greatest power.
