Warning: This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along episode 4, "If I Can't Reach You/Let My Song Teach You."

A wild Agatha All Along theory suggests that the perfect way to bring the Scarlet Witch back to the Scarlet Witch to return to the MCU, and Agatha All Along is the perfect place for this to happen.

Kathryn Hahn first appeared as Agnes in WandaVision's finale, which is where Agatha All Along finds her three years later. While the Scarlet Witch hasn't been seen since 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it makes sense that she'd reappear in Agatha All Along, and her return might have already been set up thanks to one mysterious character.

The Scarlet Witch’s Doctor Strange 2 Death Has Been Confirmed

Wanda Maximoff Sacrificed Herself To Destroy The Darkhold & Mount Wundagore

Some will surely question how the Scarlet Witch can possibly return to the MCU, given the fact that she sacrificed herself in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and her death has been confirmed by Marvel Studios. Realizing the error of her ways after traversing the multiverse looking for her children, Wanda brought the Darkhold Castle on Mount Wundagore down on herself, and destroyed every copy of the Darkhold in every universe. While a well-timed red flash hinted at the Scarlet Witch's survival, this has since been debunked.

Marvel Officially Confirms Scarlet Witch Died In Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Scarlet Witch's MCU return is highly doubtful after a Marvel book appears to confirm the death of the character in Multiverse of Madness.

Marvel Studios' official MCU timeline book confirmed that the Scarlet Witch is indeed dead after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This was ed in Agatha All Along's premiere, as the body found in Agatha Harkness' true crime-style scenario seemed to be that of Wanda Maximoff, and her name appeared on the body's toe-tag. It was the Scarlet Witch's death that distorted her spell over Agatha Harkness, but despite this tragic demise being confirmed, there may still be a way for the Scarlet Witch to return in Agatha All Along.

Agatha All Along May Have Introduced Lady Death To The MCU

Aubrey Plaza's MCU Character May Not Be The Green Witch She Claims To Be

Aubrey Plaza reunited with Parks and Recreation co-star Kathryn Hahn for Agatha All Along, debuting as Rio Vidal, a Green Witch with a mysterious history with Agatha Harkness. Despite her identity seemingly being clean-cut, there have been many popular theories suggesting Plaza could actually be playing several other Marvel villains, including the likes of Morgan le Fay, Blackheart and Mephisto. However, the most popular suggestion names Plaza as the MCU's Lady Death, and there is a great deal of evidence to this theory.

Lady Death is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics, and has been a love interest to the likes of Thanos and Deadpool, so her possible MCU debut is very exciting.

Rio Vidal's blade is the same shape as the knife held by Death in a promotional tarot card designed for Agatha All Along. Agatha Harkness' tendency to steal power from other witches and leave them for dead means she may have a sort of symbiotic relationship with Aubrey Plaza's Lady Death. Agatha All Along episode 4 hinted that Vidal had betrayed Agatha by "doing [her] job," perhaps by taking her son, Nicholas Scratch. A skeletal depiction of Lady Death seemed to appear in Lilia Calderu's Alewife's Revenge hallucination, in a similar hood sported by Rio Vidal in earlier appearances.

Agatha Harkness Could Literally Beat Death To Bring Back The Scarlet Witch

Agatha Harkness Is An Ally To The Scarlet Witch In Marvel Comics

Since the evidence has piled up suggesting that Aubrey Plaza is in fact portraying Lady Death in Agatha All Along, this could be a clear route to bringing back the Scarlet Witch. Until now, Agatha Harkness has suspected that Joe Locke's "Teen" is her son, Nicholas Scratch, brought back by Lady Death, which led to her briefly calling a truce with her archenemy in Agatha All Along episode 4. However, now these hopes are dashed, it seems theories hinting at "Teen" being the Scarlet Witch's son instead could come to fruition.

The Scarlet Witch's legacy looms large in Agatha All Along, making her return to the MCU seem less like a matter of if and more of a matter of when.

Having built a strong relationship with "Teen," Agatha Harkness could deduce his true identity, perhaps Billy Kaplan, the reincarnation of Billy Maximoff, and make an attempt to resurrect his mother, Wanda Maximoff. To do this, Agatha Harkness and her coven would need to, quite literally, beat Death, allowing the Scarlet Witch to return to the MCU following her Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ending. In the comics, Agatha and Wanda are long-running allies, so it would be great for Agatha All Along to begin to establish this friendly relationship in the MCU.
