All four of the new Vault Hunters in Borderlands 4 have been officially revealed, including their names, some brief background info, and their power types. The next chapter in the Borderlands franchise is coming this September, and it's bringing a new planet to explore. As with the previous titles, the game will have four new Vault Hunters to play as, each one bringing a unique playstyle to the table.

Previous media had shown only brief glimpses of the new characters, with today's State of Play focusing on the Siren and the Exo-Soldier, in particular. Now, all four new characters have been revealed, from their names to their specialties. The four new Vault Hunters coming to Borderlands 4 are Vex the Siren, Rafa the Exo-Soldier, Harlowe the Gravitar, and Amon the Forgeknight, according to new info shared on the 2K website.

As with all the previous Borderlands games, the fourth title in the series will have four playable characters with their own unique combat specialties and personality quirks. Each character also brings their past into their playthrough, with different reactions and dialogue lines in certain situations. Until today, not much was known about these characters other than their appearance, but we now have more information about what to expect from each Hunter.

The Hunters' brief descriptions make it clear that each new character has a very different fighting style and personality. More variety in the skill trees and unique dialogue depending on who you're playing as will likely make each play experience very different.

The New Borderlands 4 Vault Hunters Are A Varied Bunch

Two Are Still A Bit Of A Mystery

Not much is known yet about the action skills of anyone except Vex, who was revealed during the State of Play to have Phase summoning powers and a spectral companion in the form of a familiar named Trouble. A bit of Rafa's playstyle has also been revealed, with his exo-suit able to digitally construct various weapons to supplement the usual Borderlands guns aplenty, like an arm cannon and twin swords.

According to Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox Software, Borderlands 4 will now be released on September 12, earlier than originally announced.

As for the other two Vault Hunters, for now, we only know what was revealed in the Borderlands 4 trailer released during the Game Awards this past December and in the new gameplay trailer ed to the Borderlands YouTube channel. Amon is showed using a digital shield and jumping in for close combat with what look like battle axes, while Harlowe seems able to use technology to manipulate gravity.

All four of the new Vault Hunters will have action skills and branching, heavily customizable ability trees for a personalized play experience. Borderlands 4 will launch on September 12, earlier than its originally announced September 23.
