In Sea of Stars, players can give Music Sheets to the pirate band to hear music from the game’s soundtrack live in-game. The game is something of a throwback to the era of retro RPGs and even features music written by legendary JRPG composer Yasunori Mitsuda. Music is a big part of Sea of Stars, and collecting Music Sheets allows you to hear more of the soundtrack as you stop off at taverns along your journey.

There are a total of seven Music Sheets that can be collected in-game to unlock new music tracks. All of the Music Sheets can be found or bought from vendors and will appear regardless of which Sea of Stars protagonist players choose. However, it can be time-consuming as you will need to progress through the game’s story to collect them all.

Sea Of Stars Zale, Valere And Garl Looking At Music Sheet Chest In Haunted Mansion Room

Here’s how to find every Music Sheet in Sea of Stars, courtesy of Indie Game Culture:

  • Music Sheet #1: In a chest on a small ledge just to the left of Mooncradle’s entrance gate.
  • Music Sheet #2: In a chest in a small room of the Haunted Mansion, west of the garden maze. Roots will block the door until the Botanical Horror is defeated.
  • Music Sheet #3: Found in Mirth’s Shop. Players must first set up the shop using the Shop Plans, obtained by giving 19 Rainbow Conches to the NPC Mirna in Docarri Village. You will also need to recruit a shopkeeper by jumping into the whirlpool found in the house southeast of the Mirth save point.
  • Music Sheet #4: Bought from the merchant in Autumn Hills for 50 Gold.
  • Music Sheet #5: In a chest near the entrance to the Glacial Peak. You will need to head past the first few enemies, jump across the broken bridge, and move some ice blocks to climb the ledge.
  • Music Sheet #6: Bought from the merchant in the Cloud Kingdom for 50 Gold.
  • Music Sheet #7: Found next to the first save point in the Sky Base.

How To Use Music Sheets In Sea Of Stars

Sea Of Stars Valere And Zale Watching Pirate Band Perform In Lucent Tavern

You can give Music Sheets to Yolande, the pirate, at which point they will disappear from the inventory. Whenever Zale and Valere decide to visit a tavern, the pirate band should be present, and you should be able to pick some new tracks for them to play.

Each Music Sheet adds four new tracks, so players can listen to a rather substantial soundtrack by tracking down these collectibles. Sea of Stars is a treat for RPG fans, and you shouldn’t miss out on the game’s lovingly handcrafted tunes.
