As she makes her franchise debut, acquired the rights to Lucasfilm back in 2012 with the goal of breathing new life into the Star Wars brand, and in just a few short years, they launched a new trilogy centered around Daisy Ridley's Rey, John Boyega's Finn and Adam Driver's Kylo Ren. Thanks to its success, Disney continued creating new content in the franchise, including the anthology films Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo, the first of which scored generally positive reviews and ws a box office smash, while the latter garnered mixed reviews and was a box office flop.
After launching Disney+, the studio has taken a small hiatus from the franchise’s theatrical releases and began creating Star Wars content for their streaming service. The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi-Wan Kenobi were extremely well-received and paved the way for Star Wars’ newest series Andor. The show serves as a prequel to Rogue One, following the adventures of Cassian Andor and his time as a spy during The Rebellion. Although Cassian may be a returning character, the series brings a host of new faces as well, one of whom had a very sweet feeling to be welcomed to the fold.
While speaking with Insider for the series, Andor actor Adria Arjona opened up about being one of the new faces to the Star Wars franchise, playing Cassian’s trusted confidant Bix Caleen. In reflecting on whether she would take props from the set of the show, Arjona quickly shut down the thought, sharing the sweet reason for why she didn't want to keep any souvenirs. See what Arjona explained below:
"There's something quite interesting about 'Star Wars' that everything is very much all about the fans, and they have a whole warehouse with like a million things of 'Star Wars’. So, I didn't even ask if I could keep something. I was like, 'One day, they'll have a little museum, and maybe they'll have my boot. So, maybe I'm not gonna ask for my boot.' It was just me [being] hopeful and wishful thinking that one day it'll be Bix's costume somewhere."
Why A Star Wars Museum Would Be Perfect
Fellow Andor actor, Diego Luna, wasn’t quite as altruistic during his time on set, having recently itted cutting a deal with the prop master to walk away with a few credits. Other big screen Star Wars actors who have confessed to stealing props from their sets include Kylo Ren's Adam Driver, who said to have kept his lightsaber and multiple helmets from his costume. Additionally, Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, has previously itted to pilfering various props, including parts from C3PO and even the rubber frog eaten by Jabba the Hutt.
Although Andor actor Adria Arjona's goal to have her props displayed in a Star Wars museum someday may seem lofty, it is not out of the realm of possibilities that Arjona may see her dream come true. Franchise creator George Lucas is currently in the process of building a $1 billion museum that will feature Star Wars memorabilia, as well as other Lucasfilm projects, an undertaking many have compared to the Harry Potter Studio Tour in London. With Andor having already scored the highest Star Wars Rotten Tomatoes score since The Mandalorian season 1, it will be interesting to see if the show will make enough of a ripple among Star Wars fandom to be worthy of a museum section.
