At long last, Brewster's arrival in New Horizons began several weeks ago due to the circulation of datamined details.

The information featured in the alleged leak received another bump earlier this month, once Twitter and Nintendo leaker Samus Hunter shared insider news of their own regarding the Animal Crossing: New Horizons update. Samus Hunter claimed both Brewster and The Roost café would enter the mix no later than this coming November. However, to the surprise of no one, Nintendo itself would not corroborate. But thanks to the latest Direct stream, fans can rest assured that the wait for a fresh batch of New Horizons content will soon to a close.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons received an incredibly brief teaser during today's September Direct. During the clip, a character is shown walking to a sign in an enclosed area labelled "The Roost;" an image of fan-favorite bar proprietor Brewster adore said sign. On top of the short video, Nintendo announced that a New Horizons-centric Direct will air in October. As of writing, a specific date and time has yet to be publicly shared.

An update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a long time coming. ACNH celebrated its one-year anniversary in March, yet Nintendo unveiled nothing of consequence. Fans had high hopes for E3 2021, as well. Unfortunately, those hopes were dashed when the popular title in question didn't receive so much as a ing mention.

The publisher clearly has something special cooking, though. And with Brewster attached, Animal Crossing faithful are likely in for quite the content rollout. This fancy-looking pigeon first ed the franchise with the release of Nintendo DS' Animal Crossing: Wild World in 2005. Brewster has appeared in several other entries throughout the years, his café always open to any and all players on the hunt for good coffee. Based on the quick teaser trailer above, Brewster and The Roost will serve a similar purpose in the much-beloved New Horizons.
