Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a life simulation game that gives players goals that take months to accomplish rather than just hours. Catching all of the fish and bugs that are available on the island will require the conditions to be correct for each critter to be caught. Entering the month of April, players will have surely noticed new fish and insects that they could not find before. They might also discover that some of their animal villagers seem to be a bit uncomfortable and have an urge to itch themselves when they never seemed to have this issue before.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players can catch a plethora of different bugs on the island to fill out their Critterpedia and the local Museum. Most bugs can be found in the grass, flying through the air, or hanging in trees during the months that they are in season, but others are a little trickier to find. Here's a quick guide on how to catch one of the most easily missable bugs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the flea.
How To Catch Fleas In Animal Crossing New Horizons
From April to November in the northern hemisphere and October to May in the southern hemisphere, there is a chance that players will be able to find fleas on the villagers inhabiting their island. When speaking to a villager that has a flea, the villager will mention an itch or that they feel the need to scratch themselves. This is the most obvious way to figure out that a villager has a flea. The flea is also slightly visible on the villager's head as a small black dot when it occasionally jumps.
To catch the flea, simply hit the villager on the head with a bug net. Under normal circumstances, this would seem quite rude, but once the villager notices that you have rid them of a flea, they are quite thankful. Players who don't feel confident spotting the small black dot on villagers while ing by can at least be assured that both speaking to every villager on their island each day and catching fleas work towards Nook Miles accomplishments.
Fleas will not sell for much at the Nook's Cranny ( a low 70 bells), but players should seek out at least one to donate to Blathers, who will be less than pleased to accept the donation.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
