Villagers and visitors arrive seemingly at random in 200 Animal Crossing: New Horizons villager designs so they could properly label the homes on their island.
However, while most of the villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons provide good company, there are some players would rather not visit their island at all, such as the creepy, ominous "rabbit" villager Coco. Thankfully, whether someone is looking to avoid a particular villager or trying to figure out when their favorite is going to arrive, there's new information online to help.
Thanks to a recent Twitter post by ACH0N3y, which shared a page from the official Animal Crossing: New Horizons Guide book, and some datamined information aggregated by Game Rant, players now have a handy way to plan their island activities around which visitors will be arriving when. Check out the full list of official Animal Crossing visitor times below, and that some of the characters have prerequisites which must be completed before they are inserted into the visiting NPC rotation:
According to the datamined information, Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters Lief, Sahara, and Kicks are guaranteed to show up at some point between Monday and Friday each week (one per day) with the other two days "reserved for CJ, Gulliver, Flick, Label, and Redd." With only two days to share between the five characters, this is the reason why players run in to Jolly Redd much less frequently than they do a visitor like Sahara, who is always guaranteed to arrive on the island at least once per week.
It's a little unfair to leave visitations from useful Nintendo has implemented some sort of behind-the-scenes coding which will ensure players who haven't been visited by certain characters in a while will be able to see them sooner, rather than letting fate (also known as computerized dice rolls) decide who shows up next.
