Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is unfortunately shutting down after seven years later this month, much to the dismay of players. Thankfully, a brand-new version of the game called Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is coming out soon. Even though many fans are sad to see their original game be discontinued, they are very excited to see what this new version of the beloved mobile game has in store, and there appears to be much to look forward to.
Like Camper Cards In Pocket Camp Complete, the game is said to introduce many new features and remove some old ones that will be replaced in the new version. One of these features specifically concerns a new in-game currency that players are provided with. Although Pocket Camp Complete retains many aspects of the original game, this latest version removes a particular issue with acquiring said currency, thereby making the method of earning it much easier.
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp's New Currency Explained
A New Replacement For Leaf Tickets
Originally, Pocket Camp players had two choices for in-game currency: bells and Leaf Tickets. Despite costing real-world money to obtain, Leaf Tickets were highly sought after as players could use them to buy exclusive items and speed up crafting. With the release of Pocket Camp Complete, however, it was announced that Leaf Tickets won't be available in Pocket Camp Complete, meaning that players will need to spend any that they still have before the game shuts down.

Everything That Won’t Be Available In Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete
Exclusive event and crossover items will no longer be available in the offline version of Pocket Camp, but new items will be released in the future.
Instead, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will introduce a brand-new type of currency called Leaf Tokens, which will completely replace Leaf Tickets. Unlike Leaf Tickets, players will not need to spend real-world money to acquire Leaf Tokens. This ultimately means that there is no need for players to worry about any micro-transactions being present, so the only real-world money they'll need to spend is the initial purchase of Pocket Camp Complete.
What Leaf Tokens Are (& How They Work)
The Same Function As Leaf Tickets, But For Free
Leaf Tokens largely serve the exact same purpose that Leaf Tickets did in the original Pocket Camp. These Tokens allow players to buy exclusive items in the in-game store and speed up crafting time. They can be acquired by completing various in-game goals called "Stretch Goals," such as helping visitors like Gulliver with certain tasks.
Ultimately, this change to the in-game currency will be a relief to many long-time players. By serving the exact same purpose as Leaf Tickets while simultaneously removing the need for microtransactions, players will be more incentivized to acquire them to decorate their camp. Ultimately, it looks like Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will be a fun and enjoyable experience for players.
