Anime is one of the most unique art forms around, and that can best be seen through series with insane titles. There are plenty of amazing anime series with relatively normal titles, like Demon Slayer, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. For some reason, anime is the one art form that can get away with some of the craziest titles around, telling the entire plot of the series through a single, egregiously long title.
These titles can be more hurtful than helpful, as exuberantly long titles can make a series appear to be a lot more ridiculous than it really is. Still, ridiculous titles in anime make the art form a lot more fun, as they can increase the silliness put forward by a series ten-fold. Ridiculous titles in anime aren't unique to one genre or another either, as there are plenty of funny, romantic, and even serious series with some of the craziest titles ever put on-screen.

I Was Reincarnated As The 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability is a long title that couldn't describe the series better, even if it was allowed to somehow use even more words. Stylized as 7th Prince to keep writing concise, the new series is one of the most fun isekai shows around. The series aptly stars a peasant without much magical ability as he is reincarnated into the same world that he just died in.
Instead of coming back to life as a peasant yet again, the magic -to-be is reincarnated as the 7th Prince of the kingdom. In this story, people of noble birth have access to a large amount of mana right when they're born. The peasant-turned-prince retained all of his memories from his past life as well, giving him a huge head start when learning magic again in his second life.
7th Prince is a visual spectacle. The series uses some of the best color palates of any anime series, showing off the new Prince Lloyd through exceptional animation and some of the most entertaining fights around.

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is one of the funniest anime titles around. It's another ridiculous title for a couple of reasons. First, 100 Girlfriends includes 100 girlfriends both in the title and in the series, showing that this series is a harem show taken to the absolute extreme. While most harem series feature around five different love interests at the same time, 100 Girlfriends goes for a century's worth of women.
Second, the creator of the series really wanted to emphasize just how much the girlfriends love the main character, including the word "really" five separate times, just to let people know how in love Rentaro's girlfriends really are with him. The title alone is wild, and somehow, the premise of the show is even crazier.
Main character Ajio Rentaro has been rejected 100 times when looking for a girlfriend. After praying to the Love God to find his soulmate, the Love God accidentally grants his wish 100 times over. Rentaro now has 100 soulmates in the world, and if he doesn't fall in love with them, they will die. He's forced to date 100 different women at once in one of the craziest plots in anime.

That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime is a hilarious title because of how casual it is. It sounds like one person is telling another about something that happened to them a long time ago, like that time they got stuck in traffic for a few hours. Reincarnated as a Slime is a pretty laid-back series altogether, but the title sells the scope of the series a little short.
Reincarnated as a Slime is one of the best isekai series of all time because of how thorough it is. The series follows a Japanese businessman as he is killed and reincarnated into a new world. He is reincarnated as a lowly slime, and while slimes are usually the weakest monsters in most fantasy series, Rimuru Tempest is anything but.
Rimuru quickly becomes one of the strongest characters in the series. He gains powers quickly using his Predator ability, a skill that lets him gain the powers of anything he consumes. He becomes strong enough to create his own nation, trying to find a place in the world where monsters and people alike can coexist.

Animated By Zero-G, Based On The Manga By Takuma Yokota
The Story Between A Dumb Prefect And A High School Girl With An Inappropriate Skirt Length is one of the longest and funniest names in anime. Dumb Prefect is a series soon to be animated that stars two characters diametrically opposed to one another.
Sakuradaimon is the school's prefect: a student who is authorized to enforce discipline. Kohinata is one of the people who Sakuradaimon has tried to discipline into wearing appropriate school attire, but it hasn't quite worked out for the prefect.
Sakuradaimon is the school's prefect who just wants to enforce the school's rules. Kohinata couldn't care less, pushing Sakuradaimon's buttons by wearing whatever clothes that she wants. It's a simple, adorable premise that has drawn a ton of attention to the manga. The anime looks to bring their story to the screen through a hilarious title and two lovable characters.

Okitsura: Fell In Love With An Okinawan Girl, But I Just Wish I Knew What She Was Saying is a series just as adorable and sincere as its title lets on. Okitsura stars mainland Japanese native Teruaki Nakamura as he and his father move to the island of Okinawa. In his new home, Teru falls in love with his classmate Hina, but there's a huge problem: he has no idea what she's saying.
Okitsura's premise revolves around the island of Okinawa. While Okinawa is technically part of Japan, the island has a completely different culture and dialect that Teru is entirely unfamiliar with. The series teaches both the main character and the audience a lot about Okinawa's language, their unique culture, and about their day-to-day activities.
Okitsura is a great romance anime both because of the love story it tells between Teru, Hina, and Kana and the love the series has for the island of Okinawa as well.

Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? is another one of the funniest titles in anime. The series stars 14-year-old Bell Cranel as he does his best to repel droves of women constantly. He only has eyes for Ais Wallenstein, but it doesn't matter. Bell is incredibly popular with the ladies, to say the least, but he never romantically pursues them back.

Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? Season 5 Reveals New Key Visual
The highly anticipated DanMachi Season 5: The Goddess of the Harvest Arc anime just received a new key visual ahead of its fall release.
Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon? is a rare ridiculous title that seemingly does a disservice to what the series is really about, as Bell doesn't spend much time trying to pick up other women. The series' title would make it seem like he's spending most of his time in dungeons trying to win the affection of different women, but the opposite is much closer to the truth.
