Avengers: Infinity War also dusted off the Pyms.

Introduced in 2015's Doctor Strange, establishing that it can also be accessed using the sorcerers' sling ring. And while Ant-Man & the Wasp finally visited the unexplored pocket of the MCU with the use of the Quantum Tunnel, it feels like the sequel created more mystery surrounding the Quantum Realm rather than answering already pressing questions. According to Broussard, this is by design as people can expect to learn more about it in Ant-Man 3.

Speaking on thethere are several Easter eggs in the Quantum Realm providing clues to the future of the MCU. Meaning one way or another, the Quantum Realm will be an important part of the franchise moving forward.

"I think there's more to do there. At this point of the process with the first Ant-Man, based on a glimmer of what you saw if you froze your DVD at the right place, we had the idea of 'What if part two was about finding Janet?' And it was an inkling of an idea. Nothing's been announced, I'm not coyly sitting on any announcement. There really is no plans for the next one, but you can't help but talk as filmmakers and creative people about where you would go next if you ever got the opportunity."

"And we talk a lot about the Quantum Realm and there would be perhaps more opportunity to go down there. Maybe there's more down there than we realized. Clearly, Janet's been up to something and has different clothes on and some weapons. Where did those come from? And similarly, if you look at the right moment and freeze the DVD in a certain place, maybe you'll see something else as well that could tip a hat to where the story could go."

Despite not being confirmed yet, it's safe to say that Marvel Studios has plans for a third Ant-Man film, especially since the sequel seems to be setting up a lot of things, including what looked like a tiny civilization spotted in the Quantum Realm. While the movie franchise doesn't perform at the box office the same way as their other character-centric subseries, it's not losing them any money either. Thus far, Ant-Man and the Wasp has already raked in $448 million, around $71 million short from the first movie's $519 million total haul. But with the sequel still awaiting release in China (where MCU films tend to do well) and Japan, as well as a few other countries, it's expected to push past its predecessor's earnings.

While fans wait for Ant-Man 3, the Avengers 4.
