Marvel Studios Visual Development Supervisor & Concept Artist Andy Park unveils Ant-Man helmsman Peyton Reed stepped back behind-the-camera for the follow-up flick.

The 20th MCU installment, Ant-Man & The Wasp may not be as epic or grand as Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, and Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch. The film also marks the first Marvel Studios film to have a female co-headlining superhero in Lily's The Wasp.

As shared by Park on Twitter, the Empire cover features the new incarnation of Ant-Man and the Wasp with main villain ghost looming in the background. It highlights the antagonist's ability to phase through objects. which makes for an interesting dynamic with her and the shrinking superheroes. The illustration, which was created by Park exclusively for the media outlet, is the subscriber cover for the magazine's July 2018 issue. The regular newsstand cover version of the magazine will be available starting next Thursday, June 14. Check it out below.

It's still unclear what something to do with unleashing her, and hinted that the villain wants to destroy the world. Why exactly she wants to do this remains to be seen. Marvel Studios took the creative liberty to change the antagonist's characterization from the comic books, which doesn't help when it comes to looking for clues about her end game. Nonetheless, it's interesting to note that there are shots in the trailers where she looks a little queasy in her suit - as if she doesn't fully understand the extent of her powers yet.

The official press tour for Ant-Man & The Wasp will begin sometime soon considering that the film is less than a month away from debuting. In that time, fans can expect to learn more about the plot details of the movie. Marvel Studios has been secretive about their recent releases, and the forthcoming sequel is getting the same treatment. That said, the flick is said to, surprisingly, have strong narrative ties to Infinity War, and possibly even Earth's Mightiest Heroes to travel back in time.
