Apple has already released a new iOS 14.7.1 update to address problems including a fix for a significant security issue. These updates have been coming out in small patches before the full release of iOS 15, fixing small bugs when found. Normally, these issues are pretty minor and don't contain fixes significant enough for s to be concerned with. Sometimes, however, they do contain patches for more serious issues.
iOS 14.7 was only Apple Card Family and even change the to co-owned. Most notably though, iOS 14.7 included a lot of security updates ranging from Find My having a weak spot where a malicious application could obtain data to fixing the infamous Wi-Fi network bug.
iOS 14.7.1 only has one security fix, according to Apple's security update actively exploited. Considering the flaw has been addressed in iOS 14.7.1, iPhone s should apply the update as soon as possible. The same security patch is also available for iPad s through the latest iPadOS 14.7.1 update that's now available.
Other Changes With iOS 14.7.1
There are some other changes with the update. For example, after unlocking an iPhone, the 's Apple Watch typically unlocks as well. However, iOS 14.7 introduced a bug where an Apple Watch would remain locked after unlocking an iPhone with either Face or Touch ID. This issue has also been fixed with the latest update. While not as serious as the security issue, the fix is going to be of benefit to iPhone and Apple Watch s.
The new update can be ed by heading to Settings, followed by General and then Software Updates. As always, safety and security is very important and should be taken seriously. Until iOS 15 is made fully available, s should continue to update their devices to the newest available software version. When the latest version also includes an important security fix like this one does, it's even more important to apply the update as soon as possible, to reduce the risk of an iPhone being compromised.
