Disney+. Streaming services have changed the way people enjoy films and TV shows, as they can now watch their favorite shows pretty much anywhere, any time they want. Although it will never compare to the experience of watching a film in the cinema, streaming services have become very popular thanks to the variety of content they offer, including original (and exclusive) titles.

Companies like Marvel TV shows. But there’s another streaming platform that is doing everything in its power to beat Disney: Apple TV+.

Apple announced that the platform will launch on November 1st – just a few days before Disney+’s launch, set for November 12. Apple TV+ also revealed the cost of its service, which will be $4.99 a month, against Disney’s $6.99. And, of course, there are also the similarities in their names, which are essentially the same – coincidence or not, Apple is trying too hard to get ahead of the curve.

Even with all its efforts, it’s unlikely that Apple will beat Disney. As previously mentioned, Apple TV+ will also have original content that go from educational shows (Helpsters) to sci-fi dramas (High School Musical: The Series, along with the Star Wars saga and a huge number of Walt Disney and Pixar animated films.

In the end, every streaming service – not just Apple TV+ and Disney+ – has exclusive content for every taste and gives viewers the opportunity to choose which service(s) they want to pay for. Maybe Apple doesn't yet have what it takes to outdo Disney, but that doesn’t mean it won’t catch people’s curiosity and that Apple TV+ will be left with no subscribers. If it offers enough quality content (both original and licensed), Apple TV+ could become a big contender in the world of streaming.
