One of the best things about the a huge selection of first-party options that s can choose from, ensuring there's something to match everyone's personal taste.
While the Apple Watch was initially mocked for its bland, squarish design, it's since become a staple in Apple's product lineup. Everyone knows what an Apple Watch is, it still looks unlike most other smartwatches on the market, and it's extremely easy to personalize with different watch bands. Apple has been creating first-party bands since the Apple Watch's debut in 2015, and while some people may consider them to be overpriced, they're also the highest-quality ones available for the device. For anyone feeling overwhelmed with all of the watch band options Apple has available, here's a quick breakdown of everything on offer.
Starting with sports/fitness bands, Nike also has its own version of the Sport Loop with the Nike Sport Loop. It's nearly identical to the regular Sport Loop and costs the same at $49. The only difference is that it comes in three exclusive colors, though they're all considerably less vibrant than the colors available for the regular Sport Loop.
The Leather And Stainless Steel Bands Come At A Cost
All of the above bands are excellent for s who want a combination of function and form, but the rubber and nylon designs just won't cut it for some Apple Watch owners. For them, Apple has more luxurious watch bands. Taking a look at the leather bands, the first is the Leather Link. It's crafted out of Roux Granada leather from , with the strap using magnets to elegantly secure it in place. At $99, it's one of the more affordable leather options in Apple's lineup. The other $99 leather band is the Leather Loop, which features Venezia leather from Arzignano, Italy. It connects with magnets similar to the Leather Link, but the overall aesthetic is slightly different. It's also exclusive to 42mm and 44mm variants of the Apple Watch, meaning owners of the smaller model need not apply. For them, there's the Modern Buckle band. Available for the 38mm and 40mm Apple Watches, this is the only leather band with a buckle design. It gives the Modern Buckle a distinct look over the other two leather bands, but that uniqueness comes at a $149 price.
For shoppers that prefer steel over leather, Apple has two different options. The Milanese Loop band costs $99 and has a sleek, magnetic attachment. It's also infinitely adjustable, making it the more practical of the steel bands. The other option is the Link Bracelet, which costs $349 or $449 depending on the color. It's made out of a 316L stainless steel alloy, features over 100 different components, and uses a striking butterfly enclosure to keep it secure.
Lastly, there are the Hermès bands — specifically, the Hermès Jumping Single Tour, Swift Leather Attelage Double Tour, and Leather Single Tour. The bands are quite striking, but with prices ranging from $319 up to $539, they're likely too expensive for most shoppers.
