The preview for Aquaman #1 by Jeremy Adams, John Timms, Rex Lokus amd Dave Sharpe opens with flashes of Arthur Curry's life story, from his origins on the shore to his exploits in the sea as Atlantis' king. Aquaman has embodied many versions of himself throughout his history, but he's leaving those identities behind in lieu of a new title: "the God Killer".

With this lore-changing nickname, Aquaman is shown charging into battle against a giant kaiju and wielding water as a weapon. This Justice League icon is making a splash with his revamped power-set as he reaches a level that can rival gods.
