Ubisoft's game What The Assassin’s Creed Mirage Rumors Tell Us About The AC1 RemakeAs pointed out by Ubisoft's Vice President Editorial Fawzi Mesmar on Twitter, the logo for Assassin's Creed Mirage hides an interesting Easter egg. The logo is actually formed by Arabic calligraphy that reads "the hidden" in Arabic. This works as a clever reference to the Hidden Ones - the forerunners of the Assassin Brotherhood seen in Ubisoft's earlier titles.

Assassin's Creed Mirage Focuses On The Brotherhood In 9th Century Baghdad

The Assassin's Creed Mirage's setting is Baghdad in the late ninth century. Players will be cast as the young Assassin Basim, an antagonist from Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Basim was born and raised during the Middle East's Abbasid Caliphate. Mirage will transport players to Baghdad during the 860 - 870 Anarchy at Samarra - a time period of instability. With this specific era as a backdrop, players can expect a narrative possibly influenced by the violent succession of four caliphs and the frequent wars between rival military groups. How historically accurate Assassin's Creed Mirage will be is yet to be seen. However, while the series has been known to play things fast and loose with historical record, Ubisoft has frequently accomplished creating historically-authentic worlds for players to explore.

While only a small detail, the logo for Assassin's Creed Mirage cleverly integrates the game's setting while also hinting at its story. The formative years of the Assassin Brotherhood has been a focus of Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed games, and while the group still appears to be known as the Hidden Ones in this latest spinoff, the return of white suits and hidden blades presents a more familiar depiction.
