The Corrupt Daikan is one of the many available target boards in Assassin's Creed Shadows and consists of six different targets found around the Omi region. Each of the Corrupt Daikan targets is a drop in minor rewards and can be tracked down based on the set of clues provided on the board. If you're playing with Guided Exploration enabled, you'll be able to see the specific locations of the targets on your larger map, but otherwise, you'll have to use the clues to narrow down their locations. However, enabling Guided Exploration locks you out of certain trophies/achievements.

The Corrupt Daikan Quest Giver is Kuma, who you'll meet during the main campaign in AC Shadows and is one of the People of Omi on your Objectives board. The six targets for the Corrupt Daikan reward 2000 XP each, while some drop money or minor loot. Once you've spoken with Kuma, you'll receive the aliases for each Corrupt Daikan leader: The Sword Hunter, The Hoarder, The Hedonist, The Soiled Merchant, The Concubine, and The Connoisseur. Each of these targets is located around Omi, and once eliminated, the Minogame's Protection legendary amulet is rewarded.

How To Get The Corrupt Daikan Target Board & Clues

Deal With The Mourner Shinbakufu Leader To Unlock The Corrupt Daikan Tree

As part of AC Shadows' Shinbakufu targets scattered across each major region, you'll eventually have to track down The Mourner. During the various missions related to The Mourner, you'll eventually pick up a quest called "The Price of Rice," which you'll have to complete to unlock the Corrupt Daikan target board.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: All Kofun Locations & Rewards

There are many Kofun locations found around the massive world of Assassin's Creed Shadows, each with its own unique legendary weapon as a reward.

Kuma is the quest giver for the Corrupt Daikan board, and you'll need to speak with him after eliminating all the targets to collect the final reward. In my experience, targets on this board are quite easy to stumble across as you complete Omi's various side quests. Each individual target awards 2000 XP, and completing the entire tree gives you 5000 XP, plus a shiny new trinket.

All Corrupt Daikan Target Locations & Rewards

The Corrupt Daikan Are Primarily In The Omi Region

AC Shadows Kuma in dialogue with Naoe

The six Corrupt Daikan are found scattered across the Omi region, with The Hoarder being found while tracking down The Mourner. Once you find each target, their real names will be revealed, and they typically are in possession of a further clue related to the other of the Corrupt Daikan. There are two legendary items related to this quest: The Hoarder will drop the Dragonfly's Cunning legendary trinket and associated engraving.

The Sword Hunter

The first target on the board is located in Nomura Village in the southwestern Ibbu Highlands area. The Sword Hunter's real identity is Gamo Morinari. I went for the grappling hook assassination with Naoe for this one, but you can always go in Teppo blazing with Yasuke if that's more your style. He drops Daitengu's Feather Epic Katana, which causes +50% damage from poison on afflicted enemies.

The Hoarder

As mentioned above, this target is found when following up on The Mourner after completing the "Price of Rice" quest. You'll be guided to the Hogonji Temple on Lake Biwa to find the Mourner (aka The Wheel) as well as The Hoarder(real name Izumi Bunzo), who is in the same location. Killing him awards a legendary trinket, the Dragonfly's Cunning, which is a Katana build essential: it gives +15% to all your stats if you only have a Katana equipped.

The Hedonist

North of Omizo Castle in the Ado River Valley, the Hedonist will be waiting in a hut inside a fishing village, where the local fishermen suffer due to his selfishness. A hole in the back of the building leads underneath the floorboards where you can sneak in and take out the Hedonist, aka Okudaira Toshizo. He drops a common Health on Hit engraving.

The Soiled Merchant

The Soiled Merchant, aka Ishikki Mansaku, is located in the Mouth of Seta in Southern Omi. You can head to the Otsu Lower District, where he'll be inside an estate with a few covert entrances.

Taking the Soiled Merchant out is fairly simple if you go in under the hole in the gate and wait for him to circle around the path.

It's somewhat close quarters, so try not to make too much noise or get spotted because you'll get swarmed rather quickly. He awards 2000 XP and a small amount of Mon as well.

The Concubine

The Concubine is actually located in Yamashiro, just across the border from where you took out The Soiled Merchant. Her real name is Ise Asuka, and is northeast of the Southern Kyoto Kakurega, sitting in a public space listening to some music. You can easily sneak up on her for an assassination, and she'll drop the Concubine's Veil Epic Kusarigama, which provides +40% of an adrenaline chunk on enemies above half health.

The Connoisseur

The final Corrupt Daikan is Endo Riku, alias the Connoisseur. He is found about as far north as you can go in Wakasa, in the very northeastern reaches of Sotomo Gate. You'll need to go to the very top of Kanegasaki Castle to find him in the middle of eating some noodles.

Rewards For Assassinating The Corrupt Daikan Leaders

Kuma Is Back At His Lookout With Some Awesome Rewards

Once you've removed all the Corrupt Daikan leaders, you can return to Kuma at Kuma's Lookout west of Azuchi in Omi. He'll be impressed that you could eliminate all the Corrupt Daikan, but he wants you to come inside to speak with a guest. You'll end up in dialogue with Lady Nene once again, and you'll learn a bit more about her intentions and goals, filling in more details related to the main storyline. Afterward, you'll be awarded the Minogame's Protection Amulet for Yasuke, which gives him +50% damage per empty Armor slot.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: All Kabukimono Leader Locations & Rewards

The Kabukimono target board and quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows has eight primary targets scattered around the Izumi Settsu region.

Overall, the Corrupt Daikan leaders are pretty straightforward enemy targets, though you'll have to travel quite far north in the case of the Connoisseur, which can be a trek if you haven't made it up that way yet. You'll receive a legendary item for both Naoe and Yasuke in the process, giving you some decent new gear to experiment with, particularly the Minogame's Protection amulet, which can give Yasuke a significant damage boost the more naked he gets. The 5000 XP isn't bad either and is just another perk of completing the Corrupt Daikan target board in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
