Assassin's Creed Shadows' ending are split up across three major scenes — one where Naoe and Yasuke confront the leader of the Shinbakufu, one where Naoe resolves her personal storyline, and one where Yasuke resolves his. That does leave some lingering threads, however, which is where the epilogue comes in.
Getting to the epilogue isn't hard, so you shouldn't skip it. The main risk of missing it simply comes from not knowing it's there, as it involves more than just focusing on Naoe and Yasuke's story content. The key to accessing the epilogue of Assassin's Creed Shadows actually lies in Junjiro, the child who hangs around at the hideout throughout the game.
How To Complete Junjiro's Quests In Assassin's Creed Shadows
Progression For The Assassin's Creed Shadows Epilogue
All quests involving Junjiro in Assassin's Creed Shadows are fairly straightforward, but you'll need to progress through them one by one to access the ending. Junjiro s the hideout after completing the quest "From Spark To Flame," a main story mission that you won't miss. From this point onward, Junjiro missions that can be completed one-by-one will appear under his icon on the Objectives Screen:
- Raise a Cup
- Eyes on the Future
- A Different Kind of Samurai
- Soup for Sorin
- The Pilgrimage
- Leaving a Mark
If progress stalls out between any of these quests, advancing the seasons should help, but you can also pick things back up after the credits roll. I completed the first four beforehand, and The Pilgrimage triggered after I finished the main story. I'd recommend doing them whenever they're convenient rather than waiting to do them all back-to-back at the end, which will ultimately feel a lot slower.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: All Onryo Locations & Rewards (Shinbakufu Leaders)
There are 12 Onryo targets in Assassin's Creed Shadows that comprise the main Shinbakufu leaders responsible for Naoe's father's death.
Most of Junjiro's quests are straightforward, but the last two have a couple of things to look out for. In "Soup for Sorin." Junjiro requests something brown from the sea, which would be the konbu. In "Leaving a Mark," you'll need to pick up a banner from a clearing that you visited earlier in the Assassin's Creed Shadows hideout. If you've forgotten where this is, it's by the waterfall, where you can find a campfire and potentially a League member or two.
How To Get The Epilogue
Unlocking The Best Assassin's Creed Shadows Ending
Along with Junjiro's quests, you'll need to complete all the Shinbakufu targets, along with the Naoe and Yasuke quests that open up after doing so. Once all of this has been done, you'll unlock one more quest that's categorized under Tomiko instead of Junjiro: Out of the Shadows. Conveniently, this one is also located in the hideout. Here, you simply need to talk to Tomiko and at least two more people of your choice at the hideout, although you may as well talk to everyone to get all the ending dialogue.

Assassin's Creed Shadows: All Kofun Locations & Rewards
There are many Kofun locations found around the massive world of Assassin's Creed Shadows, each with its own unique legendary weapon as a reward.
Doing all of this will trigger the cutscenes for the epilogue and reward Naoe with Master Assassin gear. The hood makes ground attacks remove two additional health segments, while the robes do the same for assassinations, making them excellent options for efficient infiltrations. Once you've got those, you've completed all of the main story content and epilogue in Assassin's Creed Shadows, so you're free to go back to roaming and finishing up side content at your own pace.
